“Voicemail again.” Bella said after calling Kenzie for the fifth time.
“beeep” my phone went.
“Its Asher.” I answered it and Addison had a wide smile on her face. “Hey.”
“Hey, what are you doing?” He asked.
“Were on a man hunt for Kenzie.” I laughed.
“What happened to you hating her?”
“Well we think she ran away.” I explained.
“If she ran away she went farther than LA. Maybe you should call the police.” Chills went down my body as Asher finished his sentence.
“Yeah, I'll call you later okay.”
“Alright. I love you.”
“Yup.” I said.
“Say it back.” Asher joked.
“I love you.”
I hung up the phone and walked back over to the girls.
“What was that about?” Jayden asked.
“He was just checking in.” I told them.
“Just like a good boyfriend does.” Addison teased. Bella rolled her eyes.
“But he also said that we should call the police.”
“Oh, maybe we should.” Jayden agreed.
“We should call her mom first.” Bella suggested.
“Okay, you do that.” I told her.

I walked in the door and yelled “anyone home?”
My mom yelled back “in the kitchen”
I walked into the kitchen and my mom was sitting on a stool on her phone.
“What's wrong annie?” My mom asked.
“Kenzies missing.” I said.
“What do you mean she's missing?”
“I mean we had to call the police.”
She opened her arms and I fell into them crying.

I walked into my room and grabbed my journal and a pen. I wrote all my emotions into this notebook and  I instantly felt better. I just couldn't get the question off my mind. Where is kenzie? She could be dead or kidnapped or passed out somewhere. Maybe she did just run away because she had no one to go to. And it's all my fault. I stopped being her friend. The only people she had were ripped away from her because of me and I don't know how to fix it.
Tears started running down my face and I cried and cried until I fell asleep.
