“Kenzie Ziegler?” The teacher called.
I looked around the room and kenzie wasn't here just like the last five days.
“Alright let's get started with today's lesson, The Civil War.”
I raised my hand eager to get out of this classroom. It's not like I need to learn about the Civil War when I learned about it in seventh grade anyways.
“Yes Annie.” The teacher said.
“May I go to the bathroom?”
“Is it an emergency?”
“Yes it is an emergency.” I lied.
“Fine be quick.”
I walked out of the classroom and texted the group chat that kenzie recently left.

I walked into the bathroom and Jayden was pacing around.
“What's if she's dead?!” Jayden worried. “She probably killed herself because of us.
“No, no she didn't kill herself.”
“Well where is she?!”
“I don't know but maybe we should go over there after school.”
“yeah that sounds like a good plan.”
“Okay I have to get back to class.”
“What about Bella and Addison?” Jayden asked
“I don't know where they are.” Jayden rolled her eyes and I left.
I waited in the lunch line with Bella and Addison.
“Jayden and I are going by Kenzie's house today, you in?” I asked them.
“Sure but I refuse to talk.” Bella replied.
I nodded and looked over to Addison.
“Fine.” Addison sighed.
I paid for my lunch and sat at our table with Jayden, Ashton, Armani, Hayden, Lilia and Anna. I only talked to Jayden, Bella and Addison though.
Asher decided to sit at the usually empty table in a position where I could see him and he could see me. I smiled at him and he smiled back. My stomach filled with butterflies.
“Annie!” I jerked my head up. “What are you looking at?” Bella asked.
“Nothing.”
Jayden turned around and saw Asher. She gave me a happy look and I playfully rolled my eyes.
I got a text from Asher saying “let's leave.”
“I'll be right back.” I told the table
I got up and left the cafeteria and Asher followed me out.
