*last block*
I waited at the bleachers a few minutes for Jayden to show up.
When she did show up she sat down quietly.
“why did you listen to her?” I broke the silence.
“annie. I'm very sorry. You know how kenzie can be.”
“Very controlling.” I cut her off.
“yea. You'll know what will happen when I don’t listen to her.”
“Yea well I kinda thought you'd go against her”
“Im sorry annie. I just I can't.” Jayden said.
“And I can't with you. Why did you even want to talk to me?” I walked away angrily. I heard Jayden call my name but I just kept walking.
I just wanted to scream at her and kenzie and bella and addison for doing this to me.
Why was this happening to me? Why me?
I decided to skip last block and go to the library.
I sat down in a chair doing nothing for a few minutes. Then I remembered the book that Asher gave me. I pulled it out and read it.
I sat there reading devouring the words for a good 30 minutes. It actually was a good book.
The bell rang and I got up to meet Asher. I was a little sad I had to get up but I was happy to see Asher again.
I met him in the back parking lot where no one would see us.
“Why are we back here?” Asher questioned.
“I'll explain that later. Let's go.” I told him quickly. He stared at me for a moment then shrugged and got into the car.
I turned on the radio and Cherry Cola came on and we danced our hearts out to it.
When we arrived at the mall Asher immediately opened the door for me.
Walking into the mall i tripped on the curb and Asher of course got it on camera.
“You're such a dork.” Asher teased.
We walked into the mall and I held his hand.
“Okay first we need to go to Forever 21 then I want to go to Sephora and Urban Outfitters.” I told Asher.
“Why? I want to go to get some new airpods or maybe the newest iPhone.” He suggested.
“What. How much money did you bring?”
“I have my moms credit card duhh”
I rolled my eyes.
We went into a few stores and Asher got me airpods.
“So what were you going to explain to me?” Asher asked as we were heading out way out.
“Oh. I-I just I'm popular and I can't ruin my reputation. And you're-”
“A loser.” Asher cut me off.
“I was gonna say a nobody but ya. It's just if anyone knows about us I'll be a- I'll be the laughing stock of the school. Ya know?”
“Yea.” I could see him frown a little bit.
“I'm sorry. I do want to be with you.” I promised.
“I know. It's ok.”
Asher drove me home and when I got into my room I flopped onto my bed feeling so many emotions.
Anger, happiness, sadness. And I almost felt like I was in love.
I pulled out my journal that I've been writing in for myself when I'm older. There's every memory that I can remember in that journal since I was 10.
I wrote about everything that happened today. The lockdown, kenzie, and Asher.
So much happened today I completely forgot about the lockdown and that scream we heard.
I shrugged it off and continued to write.
As I finished writing I got a text from kenzie.
