Chapter 4

I was sitting in my usual booth and my hands shaking. "You know he's not going to be here for at least another hour right?" asked Yoshino, as I looked up at her. "I couldn't help it" I said, as Yoshino smiled and patted my head. "You look great" she said, as I smiled and then paused seeing Kakashi walk into the cafe. "Mr. Hatake?" questioned Yoshino blushing, as he smiled nervously towards her. "Your early, but she's here already" said Yoshino, as Kakashi looked at her surprised. He then smiled softly looking at me sitting in the booth. "How long have you been here?" he asked, as I blushed staying quiet. Yoshino giggled and looked at him. "She's been here since nine a.m." said Yoshino, as we both looked at her shocked. "Yoshino" I said, as Yoshino placed two coffee jellies on the table. "Enjoy" she said, as Kakashi sat down and smirked looking at the jelly that was on the table. "Coffee jelly?" he questioned, as I blushed and turned my head. "They have the best here" I said, as he chuckled and took the first bite. I followed and ate my own. It was quiet for a bit, but I didn't mind. It was nice. "So you went to the studio" said Kakashi, as I paused and looked up at him. "Yes" I said, as Kakashi then narrowed his eyes. "Did you talk to any of the actors?" he asked, as I paused. "Uh, not really" I said, as I then paused seeing a soft smile on his face. "So why did you say yes?" he asked, as I lowered my head. "I... haven't done this in a long time and every time I do something happens that makes everything go haywire, but I wanted to try with you" I said, as I blushed when Kakashi cupped my face. "Well your doing alright now. Your being very honest and trying hard to be here" he said, as I smiled. "I liked it" I said, as Kakashi blinked a few times. "Liked it?" he questioned, as I took out one of his books and he smiled looking down at it. "The star crossed lovers. The one on TV. I liked it" I said, as he chuckled and took it from my hands. "Oddly enough, this was based on my life" he said, as I stopped and looked at it. "What happened?" I asked, as he smirked. I then blushed when he kissed my hand. "That's a story for when we become a lot closer" he said, as I blushed more and he smiled. "We are going to become closer?" I asked, as he smiled. "I hope so" he said, as I smiled at the thought. "Well, well, I thought I'd never see that smile again" said Yoshino, as I blushed and Kakashi smiled. "Two more coffee jellies please" said Kakashi, as Yoshino smiled and nodded. The date lasted a little longer as we sat and ate in silence. It was nice and we walked out of the cafe together. "How about another date? Say Saturday?" he asked, as I paused and nodded my head. He smirked and then I blushed when he kissed my forehead. "Saturday at nine a.m. meet me at the bus stop" he whispered, as I slowly nodded my head. 

I walked home and paused when my cell rang. I soon sighed seeing my editor. "What?" I asked, as she growled. "What do you mean what? Why do you always give me attitude?" she asked, as I narrowed my eyes. "Tell me what you want or I'm hanging up" I said, as she shouted in anger. "The director of the Mr. Hatake's TV drama wants you back on the set" she said, as I stopped in my tracks. "What for?" I asked, as she sighed. "Beats me, just get there" she said hanging up. I sighed and made my way to the studio. As soon as I showed up on set the director walked up to me. "Miss Atsuna?" he asked, as I nodded my head. "Perfect, right this way" he said, as he forced me to sit down in a chair. "Why am I here?" I asked, as he smiled. "Well you see Mr. Uchiha is a big fan and he told me he would like your advice on his acting" he said, as I paused. "My advice?" I questioned, as the director ignored me and sat down on his chair. "ACTION" shouted the director, as I paused and saw Itachi come onto the set. The scene went on for awhile and when they were on a break, Itachi walked up to me. "So you came" he said, as I crossed my arms. "Didn't really have much of a choice" I said, as Itachi chuckled. "Sorry I didn't have any other way to get in contact with you" he said, as I sighed. I took out a piece of paper and handed him my number. He raised an eyebrow while taking it. "Don't go overboard with it. I just rather have you contact me yourself than have my damn editor yell at me" I said, as he chuckled. "So you busy on Saturday?" he asked, as I stopped and looked at him shocked. "Uh, yeah I am" I said, as he sighed. "Oh" he said, as I put up my hands. "B-b-b-but I'm free on Friday" I said, as Itachi smirked and I blushed as a result. What was I thinking? Me? playing the field? I hated even dating so why am I doing this? He then came closer and I blushed bright red as he kissed the top of my right ear. "Friday it is. I'll text you where to meet" he whispered, as I slowly nodded my head. "UCHIHA PLACES" shouted the director, as Itachi smiled at me and walked onto the set. It was then that I decided to go home. On my way home my cell started ringing and I looked seeing Haku. I answered it and sighed. "Help me" I whined, as Haku sighed. "What happened?" he asked, as I told him everything. "So?" he questioned, as I growled. "So? SO?! I don't play the field Haku. I don't go out with hot romance novelist or gorgeous beyond belief actors slash models. I'm going insane" I said "Your trying to be happy" said Haku, as I stopped and closed my eyes. "There is nothing wrong with playing the field. You are only dating them it's nothing serious and when it does then you can tell one about the other" said Haku, as I gloomed. "I hate that" I said, as Haku sighed. "Well it's either that or have both of them hate you and break up with you" said Haku, as I sighed. "Yeah, yeah, I get it" I said hanging up and making my way home. 

Meanwhile Kakashi was home typing on his laptop in his dining room. He then glanced at the door hearing the door unlock and Itachi walking inside. "Hey" said Itachi, as Kakashi eyed him loosing his tie. "Good day?" asked Kakashi, as he continued to type. "Yeah, I got a date" said Itachi, as Kakashi stopped typing with his hands in mid air above his keyboard. "Oh?" asked Kakashi eyeing him, as Itachi smirked and sat back on the couch. "Yeah on Friday, with my mentor" said Itachi, as Kakashi stopped and turned his head towards Itachi. "Your mentor?" asked Kakashi, as Itachi smirked while closing his eyes. "Yeah, I mentioned her yesterday. Kind of shy, really cute, but not much of a conversationalist" said Itachi, as Kakashi sighed and stood up. "Brown hair, brown eyes, sighs a lot and has a very light blush" said Kakashi, as Itachi stopped and glanced at Kakashi. "You don't mean-"Rei Atsuna" they both said, as Kakashi sighed and Itachi faced palmed. "How did we not see this?" asked Itachi, as Kakashi narrowed his eyes. "I kind of figured when I asked her about going to see the TV drama but I had no idea that you talked to her" said Kakashi, as Itachi sighed. "So I'm guessing this is the girl you went out with today?" asked Itachi, as Kakashi sighed and nodded his head. "And?" asked Itachi, as Kakashi walked over and sat on the coffee table facing Itachi. "She's adorable" said Kakashi, as Itachi looked at him a bit shocked but then chuckled while closing his eyes. "I knew that already" said Itachi, as Kakashi eyed him. "So I can assume then; it's may the best man win?" asked Itachi, as Kakashi sighed. "I... guess" said Kakashi, as he got up and Itachi eyed him. "Kakashi" said Itachi, as Kakashi stopped and looked back at him. "She seemed happier today than the first time I met her" said Itachi, as Kakashi stopped and looked at Itachi shocked. Itachi then closed his eyes and stood up. "Whatever you did, just make sure you keep doing it" said Itachi, as he walked into his room. Kakashi then sighed, sat back at his laptop, and looked at his screen. Did he even have a chance? Or was Itachi going to steal her away?
