Chapter 6

Couple of months went by and I sighed sitting in the booth at the Deer Cafe. "Missing someone?" said a voice, as I turned my head and looked at Yoshino. "I guess" I said, as she eyed me and then smiled. "Well you must be if your willing to wear the jewelry they gave you" said Yoshino, as I blushed and hid the necklace with my hand. "Who gave you jewelry?" asked a voice, as I looked up seeing Haku. "No one gave me anything" I said turning my head away. Haku smiled and sat across from me. "Well?" asked Haku, as I kept my mouth shut. "Whatever, I could just wait for Hana and she can make you talk" said Haku, as my eyes widened and I turned my head. "What you told Hana to come" I said, as Haku smirked. "Of course I told Hana to come" said Haku, as I sighed and hung my head. Hana Inuzuka is another one of my close friends. However, being an assistant vet to her mother keeps her very busy, but when she does come she is very fun to hang around. "Here again are we?" said a voice, as we turned our heads and sure enough there was Hana Inuzuka. "Hana" we said, as she smiled and sat next to Haku. "So Haku says your playing the field" said Hana, as I gloomed and lowered my head. "Oh come on, don't be so depressed. It's normal" said Hana, as I narrowed my eyes. "My biggest concern isn't if it's normal or not" I said, as Haku and Hana looked at each other and then looked back at me. "You fell for both of them didn't you?" asked Haku and Hana, as I sighed and bonked my head on the table keeping my head down. "So go with the guy who bought you the necklace" said Hana, as I looked up at her shocked while blushing. "Necklace?" questioned Haku, as he looked at my necklace before I covered it with my left hand. "That's a first, you normally hate it when guys get you stuff unless it's a day to celebrate or something" said Haku, as I lowered my eyes. "He caught me looking at it and then got it for me" I said "Is this Kakashi or Itachi?" asked Haku, as Hana's eyes widened. "EH?! YOUR GOING OUT WITH A FAMOUS NOVELIST AND A FAMOUS ACTOR SLASH MODEL" shouted Hana, as I slunk down in the booth and Haku elbowed Hana. Hana paused and looked around. Luckily no one was in the cafe besides Yoshino who already knew. "So what are they like?" asked Hana, as I paused and Haku smirked while closing his eyes. "Itachi... is very sweet and kind. He's also bold and I feel we have a lot of things in common" I said, as Hana smiled and Haku narrowed his eyes at me. "And Kakashi?" asked Haku, as I blushed. "He's very daring and mysterious, but also a pervert" I said, as Hana sighed heavily and Haku chuckled. "But" I said, as they stopped and looked at me again. "But?" questioned Hana "He makes me feel special" I said, as Haku and Hana both looked at each other. "Rei" said Hana, as I lowered my head. "I'm the worst" I said, as Haku smiled sadly. "Your still dating Rei, don't rush into anything" said Haku, as I sighed. "Well, that's not the worst part" I said, as Haku and Hana raised an eyebrow. "What's the worst part?" asked Hana, as I took a deep breath and narrowed my eyes. "I told them both that I was dating other guys" I said, as their eyes widened. Hana sighed deeply and Haku face palmed. "How did they take it?" asked Yoshino placing one coffee jelly in front of each of us. "They were very understanding about it, but the weird part was that they weren't surprised at all" I said, as the three of them eyed each other. "Like they already knew?" asked Hana "But how?" asked Haku "It could be because Itachi is one of the characters on Kakashi's TV drama" said Yoshino, as we all looked at her. "They could be friends for that reason, or possibly they hang out discussing the script, and their daily lives came into the conversation" said Yoshino, as I slowly nodded. "Well have you gone out with them recently?" asked Hana, as I lowered my head. "No, it's been two months" I said, as they went quiet. "Well forget them" said Hana, as we all looked at her. "What we need to do now is go out, have drinks, and get hammered" said Hana, as we all sighed. "That's your solution to everything Hana" said Haku, as she growled. "It is not and besides when was the last time we all went to the club together?" asked Hana, as we all stopped and sighed. "Alright" we agreed and decided to meet at the club that night.

Once home, I got ready wearing a black dress with matching high heels and purse. Then paused looking at my necklace in the mirror. Was it a good-bye present? I then paused when there was a knock at my door. I answered it and saw Hana and Haku all dressed up and ready to go as well. We walked to the club and within minutes Hana was drunk. "I should take her home" sighed Haku, as I smiled sadly and nodded. "Yeah okay" I said, as Haku placed Hana's right arm over his shoulder. "See you later?" asked Haku, as I nodded. I stared at my drink and felt depressed. My whole love life was sinking again and I didn't know what to do. I soon finished my drink and walked out of the bar. "Hey cutie" said a voice, as I turned my head and scrunched up my face when a drunk grabbed my left hand and started puckering his lips towards me. "Get off" I said leaning back, as he tried to get closer. "Don't be like that, come play" he said, as a cold shiver went up my spine. I then stopped when a hand forced the drunk to let me go. "Sorry, but she's with me" said a voice, as I looked at the person talking. My eyes widened in shock seeing Kakashi. "Awe man, you should have said you had a boyfriend bitch" said the drunk, as Kakashi narrowed his eyes about to take a step towards the drunk. I quickly then hugged him stopping Kakashi in his tracks, causing him to look down at me. "Thank you" I cried, as Kakashi stopped and looked down at me. His eyes then soften seeing me crying into his jacket. "Rei" he whispered, as I shook my head avoiding looking into his eyes. I then paused, as he then kissed my forehead. I looked up at him and he wiped away my tears with his thumb. "I see we have hurt you a great deal" he whispered, as I paused. "We?" I questioned, as he placed his right index finger over my lips and looked at me. "Come with me for the night and I will explain everything else in the morning" he said, as I stood there for a moment. I then nodded my head and Kakashi grabbed my left hand guiding me back to his place. He laid me down on the couch after I took of my shoes and placed my purse on the table. He put a blanket on top of me, and kissed my forehead again. I closed my eyes and just waited for Kakashi to leave me alone. He waited a few minutes and I peeked out of my eyes seeing him shutting off all the lights. Once he walked down the hall, I slowly sat up and waited till I heard him close the door to his room. I stood up and then sighed looking at everything around me. I know I had to wait until tomorrow but my heart was aching. Soon I walked towards the kitchen and looked out the window. It was right by the street and I smirked a bit. 'Wonder if he watched me ran away that time?' I shook my head at the thought. I then froze in my tracks when the front door to the apartment started to unlock. I relaxed a bit remembering Kakashi saying he had a roommate. However, I froze in shock seeing who came through the door. Tears welled up in my eyes and my words were caught in my throat. The door fully opened and the lights turned on confirming my eyes of who was walking through the front door. "Damn he went to bed already" mumbled the person walking through the door not noticing me in the kitchen. The person takes off his shoes and then loosens his tie all while having his eyes closed. As he slowly opens his eyes, he stops and looks at me now standing in his kitchen. "Rei" said the person, as tears now streamed down my face seeing Itachi Uchiha looking at me. What was this? Why was he here? Why did they leave me in the dark? Did they both know? How long did they know? When were they ever going to tell me? Was it amusing to see me suffer? Were they laughing at me behind my back? All these questions and more were screaming in my head. "Rei" said Itachi again while taking a step towards me. I took a step back and then paused when a door opened. "Damn your loud" said Kakashi's voice, as he stopped and looked at the scene before him. "Oh" said Kakashi, as Itachi glared at him. "Idiot" mumbled Itachi, as I just stood there. "Rei" said Kakashi, as I bit my lip. Do I dare run away? Or do I stay and let them explain?
