Chapter 19

I ran and ran to my apartment. I was sweating and breathing heavily until I got to the front of my apartment building. There I saw my landlord sighing while smiling sadly at me. "Was anything destroyed?" I asked, as he gave me a bag. "All the damaged happened in the bedroom, but all your manga survived" he said, as I sighed in relief and hugged the bag closely. "Unfortunately, there was a lot of damage to the building. It will take about a year to fix everything" said the landlord, as I nodded slightly. "I hope you have a place to stay in the meantime" said my landlord, as I nodded and looked behind me seeing Haku and Hana just catching up. "Damn you can run if you want" said Hana, as I walked up to them. "Sorry, thanks for telling me" I said, as Haku sighed. "Speaking of which why haven't you changed the main number to your cell? You would have been called instead of me" said Haku, as I smiled nervously. "It's on my many things to do" I said, as both Hana and Haku sighed. Hana then paused when her cell rang. "Damn that's my mother, she probably needs help at the vet. Later" said Hana, as I watched her dash away. Haku and I then started walking back to the cafe. "How long?" asked Haku, as I paused. "A year" I said, as Haku sighed. "You know I would right, but Zabuza and I only have a one bedroom and I don't think the couch is the best place" said Haku, as I smiled nervously. "It's fine" I said, as Haku eyed me. "Your not going to ask them, are you?" asked Haku, as I shook my head. "I don't think that it would be a good idea with paparazzi and other things around" I said, as Haku nodded. "Good point, maybe you can ask Yoshino" said Haku, as I smiled. "Good idea" I said, as we walked back to the cafe. However, as we got there I saw Yoshino hugging Tsunade. "What's going on?" I asked, as Tsunade smiled at me and wrapped her arm around my neck. "I had a fight with someone and now I'm staying with Yoshino for awhile" she said, as Haku and I paused and looked at each other. "That's great" I said, as Haku and I sat in the booth and I sighed while looking at him. "What are you going to do?" asked Haku, as I bit my lip and sighed. "No clue" I said, as Haku sighed. He then paused when his cell rang. "That's Zabuza. You going to be okay?" asked Haku, as I smiled. "Yeah, of course" I said, as I watched him walk away. I sighed again. Well now what do I do? I grabbed my stuff and soon sat at the picnic tables at the park. Before I knew it the sun had gone down and I was alone at the park at night. I started packing my things and my eyes soon widened when it started raining. I ran to the playground and sat in a tube. I soon watched the rain dripping. Times like this I missed my grandmother waiting for me to come home so she could make my favorite meals. I soon paused when my cell phone rang. I looked seeing Itachi calling me. I bit my lip but answered. "Hi" I said, as I heard a pause. "Rei? Where are you? You sound like your in a cave" said Itachi, as I paused. "I'm just at home" I lied, I didn't want them to worry. "Rei" said Itachi, as I paused and lowered my eyes. However, I did want them to trust me. "I'm... at the park" I mumbled, as I heard Itachi growl. "Why didn't you call us?" asked Itachi, as I kept quiet. I soon paused when my vision started going blurry. Damn... "Rei?" said a voice, as I looked at my cell, but I couldn't concentrate on it and lowered my arm. "Rei?" said a voice, as I started breathing heavily. "So... hot" I mumbled. "REI?!" shouted the voice again, but I couldn't answer. 

Soon I felt something cold on my head. I slowly opened my eyes and saw a smiling sadly Kakashi and a worried sick Itachi. "Your awake" said Kakashi, as Itachi's eyes widened and looked down at me. "Rei" said Itachi, as I closed my eyes when he gently put his hand on my cheek. "What were you thinking?" asked Kakashi, as I stared blankly at him. Kakashi sighed and re-soaked the wash clothe that was on my forehead and placed it back on. "What were you doing at the park?" asked Itachi, as my breathing was heavy. I couldn't talk and my vision was fuzzy. Kakashi sighed and Itachi brushed my hair out of my face. "Can't talk?" asked Itachi, as I slowly shook my head no. "Here" said Kakashi, as he placed a spoonful of medicine near my lips. I then paused when Itachi slowly lifted me up a bit. I opened my mouth and Kakashi put the medicine in my mouth. I barely swallowed but I did. "T-that hurt" I said in a hoarse voice. "Well at least your getting a little better" said Kakashi, as I smiled sadly. My eyes then widened as Itachi lifted me up bridal style. As he did I noticed I was lying on the couch. He then carried me to a bedroom. He laid me on the bed and put another wash clothe on my forehead. "Sleep in the guest bedroom for now" said Itachi, as I smiled watching him tuck me in the bed. "I-Itachi" I said with my hoarse voice. He stopped in his tracks and looked back at me. "Thanks and I'm sorry" I said with my hoarse voice. Itachi walked back over to me and kissed my forehead. "Get some rest" he whispered, as I slowly closed my eyes. 

Meanwhile Itachi closed the door behind him and then walked into the dining room. Kakashi sighed and sat down at the table. "Why would she do that?" asked Kakashi, as Itachi sighed and sat across from Kakashi at the table. "Just be grateful that I found her at the park" said Itachi, as Kakashi sighed. "Be thankful I had Zabuza's number to find Haku" said Kakashi, as Itachi and Kakashi both sighed. "I think we need to keep her by our side for awhile" said Kakashi, as Itachi narrowed his eyes. "For awhile... maybe longer" said Itachi, as Kakashi sighed. "I don't know, she likes her independence, plus she might rebel if we force her" said Kakashi, as Itachi sighed this time. "Let's just focus on her getting better" said Itachi, as Kakashi narrowed his eyes this time. They then stopped when Rei's cell phone started ringing. Itachi walked over to Rei's purse and opened it taking out the cell phone. "What are you doing?" asked Kakashi, as Itachi answered Rei's cell. "Oi!" shouted Kakashi, as Itachi shushed him and then put the person on speaker. "Rei's cell. Itachi speaking" he said, as both Itachi and Kakashi paused when hearing chuckling. "So... the rumor is true" said a voice, as Itachi growled and Kakashi narrowed his eyes. "How the hell do you have this number?" asked Itachi "Oh? She didn't tell you, I thought for sure she would tell you about her new editor" said the voice, as Itachi and Kakashi's eyes widened. "Your the new editor and company" said Itachi, as the voice chuckled. "I'll let that settle in for you and Kakashi" said the voice hanging up. Itachi growled putting Rei's cell down and Kakashi sighed. "Figured he find a way to know" said Kakashi, as Itachi sat down in front of Kakashi again. "We should have asked" said Itachi, as Kakashi sighed. "To be fair we haven't exactly told her about us" said Kakashi, as Itachi nodded. "Your right, we should start this actual dating thing instead of her life coming right at us" said Itachi, as Kakashi chuckled. "After she gets better" said Kakashi, as Itachi chuckled.
