explain yourself

My head was spinning. And not just like dizzy spinning... like in the middle of the third loop on some roller coaster spinning. The hot water from the shower wasn't even helping. My body was still shivering from the vicious UK winds that accompanied being in England. I still couldn't believe that I had actually walked the entire way back without my shirt... but I couldn't wake her and I was angry.

"Luke!" I groaned as I heard the voice I was most dreading to hear. I wasn't surprised to hear him stopping down the hallway, but I was surprised when he swiftly kicked the door in. I glared lightly at him as I peaked around the corner of the shower curtain. If I hadn't known better I would've assumed that the steam was actually coming from his ears... not the shower.

"Ashton."

"What the hell is wrong with you?"

"A lot of things." I grumbled, moving to stand under the water once more. I've felt cold since I crawled out of her bed this morning, and I didn't think I'd be able to warm up anytime soon.

"Luke."

"Ashton." I repeated, holding back a laugh as he groaned loudly.

"I swear to god, if you don't explain yourself I am ripping you out of that shower and dragging you back to her apartment butt ass naked."

"I think that would be quite the sight... honestly."

"Luke." I sighed heavily at his words, letting my body sink to the floor of the shower. My elbows rested on my knees as I shoved my face into my hands. I knew he wasn't going to give up until I gave in, I just hadn't expected him so soon.

"She's still talking to him." I groaned, my words slurring as though I were drunk when I was very much too sober.

"What?"

"Whatever the fuck his name is... the one who got her pregnant." I muttered. I was glad I was in the shower, I couldn't tell if I was crying or not.

"Oh." Ashton sighed. "Jaime?" He said softly.

"Whatever."

"Luke, what happened?" I sighed, sucking a shaky break before reliving the hell that was this morning.

I wasn't sure what had woken me up, but I didn't care. She was gripping onto me like her life depended on it. Her head was raised slightly on my chest, her arms wrapped around my waist, and one of her legs was tangled in between mine. It felt right, having her so close to me. My heart even skipped a few beats as I noticed my shirt that was covering her pale skin.

I tightened my arms around her before closing my eyes once more, ready to sleep the day away with the blonde in my arms. Then I heard it again, the buzzing coming from somewhere in the room. I cursed under my breath as Alli stirred lightly at the sound.

I moved as slowly and as delicately as I could, peeling her body off of mine so I could slip out of her bed. Immediately a chill raced down my spine, the chilly England air really catching me off guard. I held my breath when she started moving again, reaching out to where my body had been, before grabbing a pillow and pulling it into her. My heart sped up at the sight.

I listened for the buzzing again, searching around until I found her phone on the floor, hidden underneath her dress that I all but tore off her body last night. I smiled as the images flashed through my head. God I had missed her so much.

My smile quickly turned to a frown, however, as I picked up her phone. I didn't really recognize the name on the caller I.D.- 'Jaime'... but I would recognize the face anywhere. It was the same face I had hit only years ago. I growled lowly as I hit ignore, my mind racing with the possibilities of why he was calling her.
