"Up up up, get your lazy bones up!" I heard yelling.

I pressed my feet against the cold surface of the floor and got up from my bed.

"It's adoption day ladies, so get dressed and downstairs. People will be here soon." Ms. Hatherly said the woman who runs the orphanage.

All the other girls anxiously ran around, I on the other hand didn't. I was sixteen I'd given up all hope of getting adopted a long time ago.

I grabbed a pair of skinny jeans, a flannel and my ratty worn out converse and got dressed. I headed downstairs to line up with everyone else.

"No ones ever going to want to adopt you looking like that or even with your personality." Patricia the bratty rich girl said to me.

She had been dropped of here when she was 13, parents couldn't handle her or something.

"Patricia you're so kind too me." I said putting my hand over my heart sarcastically.

"Quiet! they're here!" Ms. Hatherly yelled.

Everyone looked so nervous, but I wasn't. I was ready to see the new parents come in and swoop up a cute little girl they could fix not a broken teenager but then he walked in.
