Chapter 5

I'm pushing the cart and we don't talk to each other.

I grab the ingredients i need and while we're walking to go pay, i turn around and jungkook isn't behind me anymore.

"Where'd he go?" I stop in my tracks and try looking for him.

I decided to go pay first and hopefully he'll show up soon.

I'm about to pay until an item is given to the cashier.

"This too" i look up to see Jungkook, smiling like his mother just said yes to him getting the candy he wanted.

I scoff and smile, "yah, who said you could get that?" I ask.

"Me"

I shake my head and pay. As I'm about grab the bag, Jungkook reaches for it first.

"I'll carry it since you bought me candy" and he walks ahead of me.

I smile and follow after him.

While we're walking back to the company, Jungkook and my hand slightly brush against each other. We both look down and clear our throats and I put my hands in front of me so it wouldn't happen again.

"Why'd you speak casually towards me earlier?" Jungkook sucks on his lollipop and looks at me.

"Ah..sorry, I didn't mean to"

"No it's okay, i like that better. My old secretary's never once spoke casually to me before. I don't think they were ever really comfortable with me" he sighs but smiles right after but i had already noticed.

"Why?"

"Because...it makes me feel too..professional? I'm only 23...it isn't fun when everyone speaks to you like you're so high and mighty. Like it's too serious."

"I mean..it's out of respect, no?"

"Well yes..but I'd rather have them speak to me like I'm not all high and mighty. Or at least say "Mr. Jeon" like they aren't afraid of me. They make it sound like i could ruin their lives."  He looks down to his feet.

"Have you ever done anything where it came off as the wrong impression? Or-"

"No. I think it's because my father is this huge millionaire who fires anyone who disrespects him or he finds disrespectful. Anyone who doesn't call him Mr. Jeon gets fired immediately." He looks straight ahead again.

"I see..but you aren't like that though"

He looks at me, "how am i like then?"

"You're very kind hearted, you have a bad temper sometimes but only when things you don't like happens to you, you care a lot about the people you love, you love what you do, you want people to treat you like a normal person, you want to have fun too and many more that i don't know about yet.."
a smile is plastered on his face.

"We're here" he says and stops in front of the building, i do too.

I made jungkook the sandwich and he gladly finished it in a few bites.

"Were you that hungry?"

His mouth full of food, "yeah and because it's that good"

I giggle and pushed a few strands of hair behind my ear.

"You should laugh and smile more"

I look up at him surprised at what he said.

"You look really pretty when you do" he takes a sip from his glass of water still keeping his eyes on me.
