Chapter 9

It was very gloomy outside today because It was raining overnight.

I walked to the bus stop, waiting for the bus to arrive.

A black car stopped in front of me again and it looked familiar.

The window rolled down and there he was.

The tall, dark haired, and handsome man that's after my heart.

"Good morning beautiful, get in, we're going to work"

I scoff and shake my head as i get into his car.

"How'd you sleep?" He asks, trying to start conversation.

"With my eyes closed"

"Aish..why are you like this? Why can't i have a normal conversation without you joking around?"

I shrug.

The car got quiet again.

"I'm not going to give up" he finally says.

I turn to look at him even though he was still focused on the road.

I look back, continuing to stare out the window, deep in thought.

When we reached the company, jungkook and i both walked inside together.

Surprised with both of jungkooks parents standing in front of us when we walked in.

"Ma..dad..what are you guys doing here?"

Not knowing if i should stay or leave, i decided to quietly back out.

"Oh y/n!" His mother calls.

I stop in my tracks immediately, "yes?"

"Join us for dinner tonight?" She asks and grins happily.

"Ah..." i glance at Jungkook and back at his mother.

"I'm not sure if-"

"Great! Jungkook can come pick you up. Be at home by 6" his mother says gladly.

"Jungkook" his father says with a deep voice.

"Yes dad?"

"Are you sure that you don't want to collaborate with anyone from the meeting we had 1-2 weeks ago?"

"I'm sure dad"

"Why don't you take another look hmm? There must be someone. Maybe you missed someone's presentation. Re-look it over alright?"

Jungkook slowly nods and i knew he didn't want to do it.

"I'll look it over with y/n" he says.

"You guys should get going now, since we have a lot of work to do"

"Alright..i know you're just trying to get us to leave because you don't want to be here with us any longer" his mother jokingly says.

He laughs and puts his hands behind his mother's back, "omoni, you know i love your company" guiding her and his father out the doors.

I leave jungkook and walk towards the elevators.

The elevator doors open and i walk in. Jungkook rushes in before the doors close.

"Are you really not going to talk to me?" He asks slightly leaning forward to look at my face.

Giving me his puppy dog eyes, "hmm" he lightly nudges me.

"We're at work"

"I know...but talk to me at least" he says sadly.

I sigh and glance over at him, "I'm not sure what to say yet. I have a lot on my mind"
