Chapter 16

Because nothing
Makes me happier
And nothing
Makes me sadder
Than you.

I was crying again. This time I wasn't silently crying. Gaji came to sit next to me as I was sitting on the floor, leaning on the end of my bed crying. He whimpered sadly and tried to comfort me by licking my arm. He knew something was off. He knew I was sad and comforted me.

He knew that all he could do was be with me, so he sat next to me and waited until I finished crying.

When I finished crying, I looked over at him and he was staring at me with sad eyes.

I smile, "thank you" I say and hug him.

Gaji didn't bark or lick me. He knew I was still in pain, he could feel the energy off of me. He was worried about me.

"I'm okay Gaji-ah, hmm?" I pet him but he still doesn't believe me. He suddenly walks out of my room and goes somewhere. A few seconds later, he comes in with a box of tissues.

I softly let out a small chuckle but tears soon started to form in my eyes.

They were happy and sad tears.

"Gaji..you smart dog. I don't know what i did to deserve you" I cry.

He licks my hand and sets the box of tissues on my lap and sits in front of me. He watched me wipe my tears and blow my nose.

"Come on, let's go to bed" I say and he jumps on my bed when I settle into my blanket. He lays down next to me and waits for me to fall asleep, then he would sleep after knowing I wasn't going to cry anymore.

The next morning, I was awoken by Gaji licking my face to wake me up for work.

I groan not knowing if I wanted to go to work or not.

No..I should go. I can't show him i'm Weak.

I get up and start getting ready for work.

When I arrive at the company, I take in a deep breath before walking inside and walk in.

The elevator doors opened and I walk in.

I arrived on the top floor and walk to my desk.

I see him through the glass walls signing paperwork.

I sigh and sit down on my chair and turn on my computer to get to work.

A while later, I get called into his office.

You got this y/n I say to myself before entering.

I walk in, "you called?"

"Yeah, I finished signing these paperwork, could you send these back to the companies"
Jungkook says.

I nod and take the paperwork from him and leave.

I was glad he didn't speak to me about anything else. I dont think I would have been able to.

The whole day at work, we didn't speak to each other. I would avoid him every time he would come my way or i would go to print paperwork that probably didn't need to be printed. I did whatever work I could to avoid him.

When the day was over, Jungkook walked out of his office quietly and I didn't hear him. He was standing in front of my desk while I  was looking through more paperwork in my desk drawer.

He cleared his throat which started me.

"Yes?" I say.

"Um..I need to talk to you.." he says quietly, but enough for me to hear.
