We walked up to the guild, on the way Jacob had explained everything to Glair and Tertle, including his being from a different world and the Shadow Crystal and stuff. It felt good to have his friends back. Most of them anyway. They didn't blame Jacob for what happened to Pixie, but he did. (Thought it's technically my fault, because well, I'm the author and I'm the one who decided to kill her, good riddance I say!)

Approaching the gate, I evolved into an Espeon and teleported over the grate, bringing Tertle and Glair with me. We were the first to ever get past Sheldon, I felt guilty.

A Tirtouga, a Gligar and an Eevee walked down several flights of stairs and found themselves in a large underground cavern. The Eevee raised a small paw and gently put it down again. All the Pokémon stopped and immediately turned.

A large Arcanine walked through the crowd and paused in front of the trio, he growled at the Eevee.

"I see you've returned, traitor."

The Eevee ignored him and walked past, he stood on a rock and turned to address his audience.

"Life is short. The important thing is not how long you live, it's what you accomplish with your life. While I live, I want to shine. I want to prove that I exist. If I could do something really important... That would definitely carry on into the future. My spirit will always live on. And so, if I were to disappear... I think all that I have accomplished will go on. That would mean that it's living, right?" (Grovyle - Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of; Time, Darkness and Sky)

It was silent. Archie's mouth was opening and closing, like a Magikarp who had forgotten how to breathe. The Eevee raised his paw and slammed it down again, an audible *bang* echoed through the cavern. Jacob continued his speech.

"We are in a storm, we will walk through it and come out the other side. We cannot win if we keep believing the lies of the enemy."

I raised a paw and pointed it at Archie. With a fierce glare I uttered a single word.

"Run."

He turned to the crowd, they growled their agreement.

Archie tsk'd. "Tsk, this isn't over, I'll come for you and-"

Tertle interrupted. "And when you do, we'll be ready, do not expect such mercy a second time."

Tertle fired a powerful jet of water, Archie was already gone.

Our little Hero. Finally, he's all grown up.
