Yeah this isn't a dream, it can't be, it's too... real. The air is real, the ground beneath my feet is real and the incredibly angry Vulpix in my face, is real. After roasting me alive the Vulpix turns out of my grip and slaps me with its tails.

"Sorry bout that, you're so cute, I couldn't help myself."

"Paws off creep, I'm out of your league!"

She talked, a Vulpix just spoke to me, and she said... 'paws'?

Shaking, I lifted my hand and was greeted by a furry brown paw, I felt the colour draining from my face, I looked myself all over and yep, furry brown sides, a bushy tail and a small dog like nose.

I've... I've turned... Turned into a, a, an Eevee! Hyperventilating, ah, pulse racing, where's my inhaler, I have asthma, calm down, calm down, I spin in rapid circles until I collapse onto my back and then;

"Ahhhhhhh-mph!"

My confused scream is cut short as two paws clamp my mouth closed.

"Shut up!" The Vulpix hissed at me before tilting her head, ears swivelling, listening, her face drops, and she releases me with a panicked look.

"Run."

She disappears into the forest.

"She's gone..."

*Snap* *Thud* *Crash*

My ears are twitching, whatever, she heard, I now hear it, it's coming and it's getting closer, fast.

My Eevee instincts took over and I bolted, through the bush, around the tree, over the stream. I'm panting heavy but it's still chasing me, I have to find somewhere to hide. There, a tree ahead, I leap, and time seems to slow around me, my body feels light, I focus and stare up at the tree, I hit the ground and run straight up the tree, jumping away into one of the higher branches.

I blink in surprise, was that a quick attack? Damn right, I'm good. I don't have time to be pleased with myself though. A dozen or so Pokémon run under my hiding place, one however skids to a stop. A Houndour, he's sniffing around the base of the tree, somethings wriggle underneath the tree roots.

It's the Vulpix.

He's moving closer to her, about to discover her hiding place, he lifts his head and opens his mouth wide, he's going to use roar, if he does, the other Pokémon will come back, they'll find her, and then me.

Self-Preservation! Was my silent war cry as I leapt from the branch and headbutted the Houndour face first. Not the smartest idea. I sit over the collapsed Houndour rubbing my aching face. The Vulpix emerged from her hiding place with a curious look on her face.

"Who are you?"

A cry goes up in the woods, preventing my reply, they noticed their friend is gone, and they are not happy, I turned to the Vulpix, she looked worried again.

"Never-mind, follow me, quick!"

More running? She runs off and with an annoyed sigh I follow. I may be new to a Pokémon world that isn't digital but that Houndour, even I could tell there was something about it that was... wrong. The look in its eyes wasn't normal, they were savage and... wild.
