Pixie turned to Jacob, he didn't move. Her head dropped.

"I'm sorry."

She was startled as a bright spark of white lit the air. The spark rose high into the sky and suddenly exploded outwards, the clouds and storm vanished, and the sun shone upon the ravaged battlefield. The Legendaries intense battle came to an abrupt end. Adrie and Marv had done it, they had stopped the Shadow Crystal. A large clear crystal rose into the sky, floating around it were three small gemstones the shape and size of Tears. They floated back to the ground and disappeared into the Earth.

"Ung..."

Pixie's eyes widened as she looked at her friend.

Jacob rose slowly to his feet, took a step and collapsed again. She began walking towards him but stopped.

His body was shaking violently, black lighting zapped around him, shadows writhed and slashed the air violently. His pupils had shrunk to dots and his once blue eyes were dark as Darkrai. His mouth hung wide open and he drooled darkness. His evil refused to be silenced, it grew stronger.

More Violent.

Pixie was frozen until a stray shadow lashed out and struck her across the cheek.

The Vulpix grit her teeth and approached the one she loved.

Shadows struck, and lightning zapped, she endured until the pair were face-to-face. She placed her forehead against his.

"Jacob, I'm so sorry, I couldn't save you last time, I was too slow, but this time, I will save you. Please hear me and come back! Come back to me!"

The Eevee didn't move. Lightning and Shadows continued to cruelly strike the defenceless Vulpix. She began to cry but not from the pain.

"I couldn't save you! I'm sorry! Please come back to me! The Princes' Tears, they were enough to save the King, why are my tears not enough to save you? Am I not enough for you?"

She sobbed heavily and the Eevee's eyes rose until he met the Vulpix's sad gaze. His mouth trembled.

"I-I, I d-don't deserve, you."

Pixie cried and nuzzled Jacob and whispered.

"I wonder how many times we forgive just because we don't want to lose someone, even if they don't deserve forgiveness."

Pixie collapsed and stared at her friend through tired eyes.

The lightning stopped, the shadows disappeared, his eyes returned to normal, but they were watery. His tears spilled onto the fire-type.

Jacob began to glow softly, he was enveloped in a white light, sparkles drifted off his body. He smiled down at Pixie.

"Pixie, it's over, we won."

"We won?"

"Yeah we won." He was crying hard now. "I changed my mind, I'm not going back to my world, I'm not going anywhere, I want to stay with you, let's go back to Sharpedo Bluff. Let's go home."

"Okay. I'm, I'm so happy."

Pixie could feel Jacob's tears falling on her, she looked at him, he was changing, becoming transparent and then solid again, she closed her eyes.

"Jacob?"

When he spoke, his voice was choked-up.

"Yeah, Pix?"

"I love you."

Pixie felt Jacob nuzzling her, it was nice, he was so warm, then he stopped.

"Why'd you stop?"

No response.

Silence.

Pixie opened her eyes, Jacob was still nuzzling her but was nearly completely transparent now. She couldn't feel him. He pulled back and smiled at her, a tear fell on her nose, but she didn't notice.

His smile was sad, and his eyes held more sorrow than she could imagine.

"I'll never forget you."

"Jacob?"

"Pixie, I lo-"

He never finished his sentence, he disappeared in a small cluster of white light that drifted up and away on the wind. He was gone.

Pixie wept.
