I stopped on the forests edge, before me sat a human city. It was surrounded by high walls on all sides, in front of the entrance were two policemen, they must be on watch for savage Pokémon. Beside them sat two Pokémon, a Growlithe and a Cinccino. I snarled at the Growlithe without realising it.
Here goes nothing.
I walked from the forest into a clearing in front of the entrance. The Growlithe barked at me and the guards snapped to attention.
"Hello, nice weather huh?"
Everyone glared at me suspiciously, when the Cinccino spoke it was a feminine but firm voice.
"Who are you, why are you here?"
"I'm Jacob, I'm here to warn you. There's an army of crazy Pokémon on their way, they're going to destroy the city and end mankind."
The two Pokémon frowned at each other, the guards were watching us closely, trying to decide if I was a threat. One of them did.
"Growlithe! Attack!" The Growlithe turned to the guard and shook his head, then he turned back to me.
"Care to explain?"
"I don't really have time bu-oof!"
I was sent flying as a solid paw connected with my jaw. I hit a tree and slid to the base. The Cinccino was grinning evilly. The Growlithe was surprised, he shouted; "Coco what the hell?!"
Coco started laughing. "The end of Mankind? It's about time, sorry pup but you won't be warning anyone."
She fired a Bullet Seed and I barely dodged, but now I was prepared for battle and I was mad.
The trainers started shouting commands, neither Pokémon listened. Growlithe was looking back and forth between his trainer, his friend and the now battle-ready Eevee. The Cinccino, ignoring her trainer, was launching a barrage of attacks.
Coco attacked with Rock Blast, countering with Iron Tail I slammed through the rocks and hit her with it, I quickly followed up with dig. She hit the ground hard and Growlithe made up his mind, he joined the fight, firing a Flame Burst.
I blocked the flames with Sand Attack and countered with Double Edge. Coco got up and started using helping hand, Growlithe rose with a new strength, he stood ready to attack. Behind him Coco started singing, he wasn't trying to attack, he was defending.
Here goes nothing, time to use my Last Resort, literally. I launched the attack, there was a small explosion and smoke covered the clearing. When it cleared the sun was shining on two unconscious Pokémon, a Growlithe and a Cinccino. Their trainers were stunned, they both readied another Poke-Ball and began looking around but the Eevee was nowhere to be seen.
I ran through the city, sticking to Shadows and leaping across rooftops. I jumped a large gap and safely landed on the other side, I even made a *Whoosh* noise as I ran. So, this is what it's like to be Batman. Batman doesn't run around in broad daylight but still.
I stopped on a rooftop and thought for a second, I can't get distracted, there must be a way to warn the humans and get them to fight.
...
Yeah, I got nothing. Perhaps if I kept running I'd find something I could use. I turned and ran, ran straight into an antenna. I smiled to myself.
"Bingo."
(That Antenna was so conveniently placed there, that was nice of the author.)
I ran until I found what I was looking for, the Radio Station. Ah there it is. Checking that no-one was watching, I leapt from the rooftop, and ran across the street to the Radio Station.
I didn't slow down, that was a mistake. I ran head-first into the doors. They were big glass automatic doors, I walked back and forth in front of them. The doors didn't open. I was too small for the sensor too even notice me.
I spent a little while acting like a fool, jumping up and down, trying to get the doors to open. I could destroy them, but that might be a little obvious. Sorry Marv.
I evolved into an Espeon and teleported inside the station. Using Hypnosis, I put everyone to sleep and quickly went to work. Using my psychic powers, I turned on every Radio in the city and started talking.
"To everyone listening this is an emergency message. A large army of Pokémon is approaching from the South-East. They are headed straight for this city, all Pokémon trainers who can fight should prepare for battle. Anyone who cannot fight should leave the city immediately and seek refuge elsewhere. If you want Pokémon to return to their senses, if you want to save this city, if you want to make the world better than it ever was before. Please, stand and fight."
I recorded the message and set it on an infinite loop, I didn't have time to see if it worked, I could only hope. I teleported out of the building, I devolved into Eevee and I ran back to the guild.
The clouds darkened overhead, the sun was blocked out and the sky became dark. Thunder cracked loudly, lightning struck the ground far off. A storm was brewing.
