Chapter 4: Will You?

(Tyler's POV)

    When I heard Eva's squeal, I felt frustrated. It's like I'm not allowed to have more time to get familiar with my mate. She started running towards me and before I knew, she was in front of me and pulled my head against her boobs.

"Oh my god, I can't believe we have last period together! I'm sooooo happy!" she yelled like a banshee and kept shaking my head from side to side. At this point, I could barely breath so I pushed her off me. She finally let go and I took a deep breath. I looked next to me and noticed that Tessa wasn't there. I was about to go look for her when the bell rang.

I rose from my seat and Eva automatically started clinging up to me. I pushed her away. Gosh this girl was getting on my nerves today. I was even more upset because I'm sure that the only reason why Tessa left was because of her action.

"What the hell is wrong with you today?" she asked in the snobbiest way, getting me even more frustrated. I chose not to answer and walked to Tessa's seat to pick up her bag. At this point the class was empty, leaving only me and her in the room.

"So you're just gonna ignore me now?" she said and I stayed quiet. Tessa had left her notebook and pen on the table. I was about to put them in her bag when an idea came to me. I was writing my name next to my phone number in her notebook when I felt someone smack me behind the head. At that moment, I was furious and turned around to find Eva still standing there with her arms crossed over her chest. Kai wanted to come out but I knew if I let him he would rip her apart.

"Who the fuck do you think you are? Pup! Who the hell do you think you're talking to?" I said in my alpha tone anger clear in my voice. I could see and smell the fear on her.

"I...I ...I just t-think I deserve more respect than that. I...I mean as your future Luna I think..." I interrupted her with a loud growl. She opened her mouth to speak again but quickly closed it. I started walking towards her slowly and she backed up until her back was against a shelf.

"Let me make something clear to you Eva. The only one that will ever have the privilege of being called my luna, is my mate. So I suggest you stop trying live that fantasy and get off your high horses. Have I made myself clear?" I said still with the Alpha tone and baring my canines.

"Y-Yes Alpha" she said fidgeting. I turned around and put Tessa's notebook in her bag along with her pen before putting it on my shoulder and walking out.

     When I reached the driveway, I saw Jayden and Tessa's friend talking. I smirked knowingly. Looks like someone found their mate. I walked up to them. Jaden saw me and walked towards me with his mate.

"Tyler, this is my mate, Tailah. Tailah this is Alpha Rayden, my alpha/best friend."

I extended my hand to her and she took it.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Alpha."

"The pleasure is all mine and please call me Tyler." I said while shaking her hand.

"Umm have you seen Tessa by any chance?" I asked.

"Yes she went home. She said she wasn't feeling well."

"Oh could you give me her address please. I need to talk to her and also drop this off." I said showing her the bag.

"Oh sure, she lives on Oak-street. There's a gated community at the end of the road. Her house is the last one on top of the mountain."

"Thank you so much. Jaden, I'll meet you back at the house."

"Alright" he said before I started jogging to my car.

      It didn't take me long to reach her house. From the neighborhood it was obvious that she was from a rich family. I was in front of her gates and while debating whether I should park outside or not, the gates opened. I drove in and parked my car. I got out with Tessa's bag that I put on one shoulder before I walked to the front door and rung the door bell. As I waited, I noticed a cat in the bushes right by me. He seemed stuck so I squatted and helped him get his leg out of the branches. After freeing him, I took him in my arms and started scratching his head. He began to purr and I smiled.

I was still petting him when the door opened, revealing a sweating Tessa. She had on a sports bra with leggings and was wearing kickboxing gloves. It was obvious that she was exercising. After a minute I realized how awkward me just standing there not saying anything must be.

"Hey" I said giving her a small smile.

"Hi, what are you doing here?"

"You forgot your bag at school. Your friend gave me your address." I said handing her her bag.

"Thank you."

"My pleasure." I said looking at her beautiful face and notice a drop of sweat slowly making its way from her cheek down her cleavage. Her boobs looked so round and plump... I tore my eyes from them when I realized how much of a perv I must look like. I felt the cat move in my arms and looked at him then back at her.

"Ummm... I found him in the bushes, his leg was stuck." I handed her the cat.

"Thanks" she said after taking him from me and started petting him, she looked so cute. After putting him down inside the house she turned around to face me and opened the door a bit wider.

"Do you wanna come in?"

"Umm, yea sure. I actually needed to talk to you." I said, stepping into the house.

"Lets go in the backyard" she said, leading the way.

I followed her and we sat at a table that had an umbrella in the center, right by the pool.

"So what did you want to talk about?"

"First I wanted to apologize for what happened in class." She shifted uncomfortably and nodded slowly.

"And second... I was wondering if you wouldn't mind uhh..."

"Gosh why am I so nervous? I probably look like a fool." I said to myself.

"You better stop stuttering, you're making us look bad." my wolf said sounding annoyed.

"Shut up Kai" I fired back.

"You better start talking instead of just sitting there" That made me snap back into reality. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes before trying again.

"I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me." I finally managed to say.

For a moment she looked shocked. She opened her mouth a few times but barely anything came out.

"Uhh... I don't think your girlfriend would like that idea." I was confused for a moment, but then I realized who she was referring to.

"Oh Eva? She's not my girlfriend. We're just friends. She wants us to be more, which is something I can't allow."

"And why is that?"

"Because... I just don't feel the same connection with her that I feel with you." I said looking into her eyes.

"What are you saying exactly?" she said pushing herself to the edge of her chair.

"I'm saying..." I put my hand on hers before continuing "I like you Tessa, and I would love to get to know you better. Will you allow me?"

At that moment her face reddened, and I was pleading her with my eyes. I don't want to screw this up. Things would've been much easier if she wasn't human, but regardless of that she was still my mate, my other half, and I will not let go of her even if I had to beg on my knees.
