Tyler's P.O.V

As I drove, I took a glance at Tessa who was looking out the window. I was always told of the effects that mates have on each other, but I never thought it would be so strong. The mere thought of her overwhelms me with joy and being in her presence makes me feel complete.

I noticed she was a bit nervous so I turned on the radio and Vertigo by Jason Derulo featuring Jordin Sparks started playing. I felt her gaze on me and looked at her.

"I have to say, you have good taste when it comes to music."

I smirked at her before focusing back on the road ahead.

I wanted our first date to be special and memorable so that's why I'm taking her somewhere very special to me. I made sure that my orders were clear. Nobody should be in the woods until further notice. I will not hesitate to whip anyone who dares disobey me. Me being a young alpha doesn't make me a weak one. I can be cold blooded sometimes, and when someone disobeys me is one of those times. I wanted Tessa to feel safe around me, so no pack runs tonight.

As we drove through my neighborhood, she seemed a little worried. I put my hand on hers and gave it a small squeeze.

"You alright angel?" I asked and she took some time to answer.

"Yes but...w-were not going to your house...right?"

"Tessa, I'm taking you somewhere really special to me. This is our first date , I don't think going to my house is anything special. Just wait, you'll see."

She nodded as I took a turn that led to the woods.

About five minutes later, I parked the car and steps out before going around to help Tessa out. Offering her my hand, she took it and followed me.

We went up a small hill then down. I heard a small gasp leave her lips. Right next to the lake, under the apple tree was a table with three candles lit in the middle, food and places for two and two chairs. There were lamps hanging from the branches. She looked at me with wide eyes and her mouth agape. I gave a pack on the lips and started walking. We were walking on a path of white and red rose petals and on either sides were candles that led to the table.

While I pulled the chair for her, she kept looking around still amazed. I'm gonna have to thank Jaden for bringing the champagne. After taking my seat I looked at her and noticed tears in her eyes.

"Baby why are you crying?" I asked.

"Sorry, I'm fine, it's just that...all this...you're so sweet."

She rose from her chair and walked towards me.

"Thank you! Thank you!" she said before sitting on my lap and hugging me.

"Love it's okay. You're my princess you deserve the world." I whispered into her ear as she sobbed on my shoulder.

After a few minutes, she composed herself and wiped her tears away.

"Good thing I'm wearing waterproof makeup." she joked, making me chuckle. She went back to her seat and looked up at the lamps.

"This is really beautiful Tyler. This might be the most special thing any guy has ever done for me." she said and my chest swelled with pride.

"Sweetheart, I'm only here to brighten your life. You might not know what you do to me or how much you impact me, but I'll show you through my every actions how much you mean to me and how much I care about you."

I saw her began to blush and I chuckled. I looked to my left and saw the ice bucket with the champagne in it. I took it out and started opening it.

"I hope you like champagne and creamy chicken Marsala with pasta." I said before the bottle popped open making her squeal.

"Everything looks delicious, I'm getting hungry now." she said as I poured us both a glass.

As we ate, we talked about various things. She told me about her plans to become a fashion designer and showed me a few of her designs on her phone. She is truly talented. I told her about my company and she seemed impressed.

"Tessa, can I ask you something?"

"You just did."

I chuckled at her answer.

"Your mother mentioned your father. I know it's a touchy subj..."

"Blood cancer."

"What"

"He died of blood cancer."

"I'm really sorry baby."

"It's fine."

We stayed silent for a few minutes before she stood up and started walking toward the lake. I went to stand right next to her. She was looking at the sky. It was a beautiful sight. The sky was full of stars and the moon was full. The air was warm tonight. Suddenly, a thought occurred to me. I walked back to our table and began unbuttoning my shirt. I saw Tessa turn around and freeze. I couldn't see her face very clearly but I could bet she was as red as a tomato by now.

"What are you doing?" she said as I began to unbuckle my belt. I smirked when I saw her eyes travel down my body and she bit her lip. Gosh she looked so sexy while doing that. I walked closer to her.

"Une bagnade ça te dis?"

She looked at me, dumb struck.

"Ummm...j'ai pas apporter de maillot de bain."

I was shocked when she answered in French.

"Moi non plus."

I looked at her as I walked backwards into the water.

"Come on Tessa, the water is great." I yelled.

"But I don't have any clothes to wear afterwards." she yelled back.

"I'll just give you one of my shirts."

She looked left and right before starting to lower the straps of her romper and I turned around to give her some privacy. I turned around when I heard the sound of the moving water. Just like the song says, her beauty in the moonlight overthrew me. How did I end up so lucky. I felt water get splashed over my face and saw her smirking at me. Oh no she didn't.

"You don't know what you just started princess."

She rose an eyebrow at my statement.

"Let's find out then." she said before splashing me even harder this time. Oh it was on now.
