Tyler's P.O.V

I'd been running for approximately five hours now. The last time I was out for a run was when Tessa was asking for space after our first date. Now that I think about it, I don't think I had ever been so anxious since Madisen.

I stopped running now that my wolf was tired. I sat down by the frozen pond, admiring the calm of the forest. It's going to be time for me to get back to the chalet soon. I don't know what to expect when I get there. I only hope that she understands where I'm coming from. I can't lose her. She's literally the best thing that ever happened to me. I don't want history to repeat itself.

Lifting my eyes up to the mountains, I stood on my paws, getting ready to leave as I noticed the orange hue in the sky. It was fully dark by the time I got back. The lights of the chalet appeared in the distance. I shifted back into my human form and quickly got dressed as goosebumps rose on my skin. It wasn't snowing that hard but that can quickly change.

Walking into the little house, I couldn't help but notice how quiet it was.

"Tessa!" I yelled while going up the stairs.

I reached our room door and found it already open. Walking in, I was expecting to see my mate's angelic face laying against a pillow, but instead, there was nothing. He bag was gone, nothing from her was left behind. Did she seriously take off? In that weather? I was about to go into our bathroom when I noticed a little note on the nightstand.

Didn't like the vibe here.
I don't like feeling like I have no control over my own choices.
I'm flying home.
For the time being, it's best if we stay away.

                                                                                              Love

Blake

I read the note at least three times before crumbling the small piece of paper and throwing one of our night lamps across the room and watched it break against the wall. I was never the type to lose my temper, but this is ludicrous. What do I have to do to prove to her that she's perfect the way she is? I went into the bathroom and walked back and forth for a few seconds before I turning the faucet on.

I splashed some cold water on my face and let out a deep breath before looking in the mirror. My irises were glowing red and I punched the glass, getting more frustrated with every second spent away from her.

I walked out of the bathroom and was about to call her when a sudden pain in my chest hit me. It was terrible. It felt like someone was slashing on my lungs over and over again from the inside.

"Kai, what's happening." I asked my wolf before another wave of pain hit me, making me drop to my knees. Holding onto my chest.

"Something's wrong with Tessa."

"What do you mean something's wrong with her?" I queried and he stayed silent.

His lack of response got me even more worried.

"Kai!"

"She's dying!" he finally said.

I was out of the house in a flash as soon as those words left his mouth. I was about to shift when I realized that if Tessa is very hurt or if the car is wrecked, she won't be able to hold on to my wolf.  I ran into the garage and got in my Jeep gladiator and hit the road.

"Kai can you feel her?" I asked my wolf as I drove through the snow filled road.

"Yes, we're getting close." he said and I accelerated.
