Tyler's P.O.V

When we reached the pack house, Tessa went directly into my room. I went to get us some snacks before joining her. I felt terrible since I was basically about to lie my ass off. Well, maybe not. I'm going to tell her what's going on, but some I have to keep some information from her keep from her. Half of the truth isn't a lie. I think.

"What's on your mind?" she said as I sat on the bed.

"A lot of things I wish I didn't have to think about, but I do. Tessa do you remember what happened before the car crash?"

"Not really. I remember being really pissed and that it was snowing really hard. It happened so fast. One second I was driving on firm ground and the next, I was falling. I-I'm sorry but the rest is just a big blur."

"It's okay."

"Why are you asking about that?"

I let out a breath and took her hand in mine.

"Tessa, call me obsessed if you want, but I don't think it was an accident."

"How? Of course it was an accident. It was snowing and the bridge was slippery causing me to lose control of the car."

"See, I thought the same thing the first time. But for some reason, something told me that there was probably more to it. I don't know, it was intuition...and there was. When we came back here, I made sure to ask to take a closer look at the car. There were slashes on the back tire and claw marks on the trunk."

"Wait, are you saying that somebody tried to kill me?"

Tessa looked horrified at the idea. I could see it in her eyes and how fast her heart was now beating. I nodded and she took in a deep breath.

"W-Why? I didn't do anything...to anyone. Why would someone want to hurt me. Oh my god is my family in trouble? What if they come after them..."

"Don't worry you're family is under high protection. I have wolves everywhere watching their every moves. Your brother is in the great hands of one of our best fighters."

"But he's not with our bodyguards all the time. Most of the time he's with..."

She paused for a second and I watched as her brows creased and she looked at me with suspicion written all over her face.

"Adrienne?"

Yes, Scott's girlfriend is a werewolf and he happens to be her mate. Even though she looks like an average sixteen year old girl that loves art and K-pop, she could win a fight against a trained assassin.

"They're mates." I told her and her eyes widened.

"Well damn. I'm happy but I'm also so surprised. She looks so...normal."

I chuckled at her comment.

"We know how to blend in with the rest of the world."

"Okay so now what. Did you find out who's probably after me?"

"We've made a list of suspects. There was a claw still attached to the car when we took a closer took at it. We were able to identify the DNA.The closest match is a woman named Petra... who I happen to have pissed off pretty bad."

"Elaborate."

"I don't know if I told you about this but, before I met you, I'd signed some sort of agreement with the alpha of the Blood Moon Pack."

"Okay?"

"Their pack was in a very bad situation. Rogue attacks happened more frequently than rain over there. Women, child, man, had to live in constant fear of getting attacked. It was just atrocious. When they summoned my help. The thought of my mate didn't even cross my mind at the time. They offered to bring our packs together through marriage."
