The feeling

Chapter 5

Meryl started to shake as this monster was looking straight into her eyes. He licked his lips when she walked by. She couldn't look away it was like he was possessing her. Like he was reading her mind and was trying to get her to come to him.

Don was pulling Meryl closer to himself and was trying to get her shield her from him. This man was taking her pride away from her by just looking at her. He pulled her to the room Greg had led them to and shut the door immediately. Meryl looked at him and broke down right there in the room.

"This man needs to be put away. You finally found him and have enough evidence from the first time" Don said with a annoyed tone.

"We found her ring in his coat pocket. He said that he found the ring on the ground at a restaurant last night. And we had a picture of him from last year when we we're searching for him." Greg told The Gummers "So one of my officers was patrolling and spotted him walking towards your house this morning. He said he was a friend of yours and we knew he was lying".

"He was watching us last night when we went to see Louisa in New Haven. We went to eat and I spotted him there too" Don told his good friend.

"Well we've processed him and he's in the system. His name is David Bakker. He's only 29 years old but going to jail for 50 years or more. We're just waiting to send him up to a more high security jail" Greg said as they all stood up and shook hands.

"Oh Meryl here's you ring" Greg gave her the ring and she thanked him with a nod of her head.

"Have a great night thanks for your help Greg" Don said as they were leaving the room.

Meryl stood still as a police officer was placing cuffs on David. He was young and was troubled, some part of her felt bad. But than she remembered what he did to her and soon didn't feel bad anymore.

"Mhmmm you smell just as you did when I had you. Uhh I'm hard just thinking about that night and all the others" David said trying to break free from his restraints.

"SHUT UP BAKKER" the police officer that was taking him out to the car.

David broke free of the guard and ran to Meryl whispering something in her ear. As she was trying to get away from him the officers got him and pinned him to the ground.

"Get him out of here for Christ sake" Don said holding Meryl as she remained silent and trembling.

"I'm sorry Don I didn't know that they hadn't taken him away yet" Greg said.

"Not your fault, I'm gonna get her home so she can resume her bath" the two men laughed.

All the way home Meryl was silent and hadn't moved an inch. He hoped that David would go far away from her and their life. He hated when she was sad and reserved.

They arrived home and she went straight up to their room. He didn't want to make her talk about it but he knew she needed to get it out and not hold everything in. She was trying to protect him from what had happened to her. She felt like she had let her guard down that night and blamed herself. She had too much to drink and wasn't paying attention to her surroundings.

Don and Meryl were out in New York having a good time after one of her movie premieres. Don was controlling how much he was drinking, and was trying to get Meryl to slow down too. He knew if they both drank too much they both would regret it in the morning.

"Hey Meryl lets head home, your looking rough" Don said jokingly.

"Oh you've got jokes tonight huh" Meryl said as she grabbed his crotch.
