The feeling

Chapter 6

In the middle of the night Meryl heard a loud noise and decide to go check it out. Don was passed out beside her on the couch. They had fallen asleep on the couch after their heart to heart. She got up and felt a chill.

She made it out of the den when someone grabbed her shoulder, making her jump and turn around.

"Don! What the hell were thinking sneaking up on me like that" she whispered to him.

"I heard a noise and you were gone, so I decided to go see what was happening" don said starting to go see what was happening

Don went to investigate the mud room and noticed shoe tracks to their garage. He told Meryl to stay in the den so he could go check it out. He went and opened the door that lead to the garage. He saw that someone had spray painted the walls and they said;l

"Watch your back" it said in big red letters.

Don closed the door and followed the rest of the tracks. They lead all the way to the stairs and there was even mud tracks going up the carpeted steps. He followed them up and noticed they went to their room. Don had grabbed a bat that was in the garage and opened their bedroom door.

Someone was spraying their walls and putting X's on their family pictures. Don watched as they left a note on their bed. Just as the guy was going to walk out don grabbed him and pinned him against the wall.

"What the hell is your problem man?" The guy wearing the hood asked.

"My problem, my problem is that your in MY house, writing on MY walls, and scaring MY wife. So I'm gonna ask you, What the hell is YOUR problem?" Don said still holding him with a tight grip.

Don grabbed his phone out of his pocket and called Greg telling him to come over quickly. Greg came over quickly with 3 other officers and took the guy away. He apparently was paid to bring the note and vandalize their house. He didn't say who paid him but Meryl had a feeling of who it was. They collected a statement from both Don and Meryl and told them to not worry and to make sure to lock all the doors. Don had walked the other officers out and locked the door behind him. He went to get cleaner to clean the spray paint off the walls and their pictures. He hadn't seen Meryl for a while and went up to their room. As he reached the top of the stairs he saw Meryl standing in their room reading the note.

"Hello beautiful,
God your so beautiful I don't know how much longer I can wait. I need to have you back in my arms. I need to smell that beautiful smell that's you. Can't you see that were perfect for each other. Well if you don't see it that I'll have to make you see it. If you don't leave that loser, and come to a real man that can give it to you properly. I know I'm here and your there, but I'll be back for you soon. Don't worry we'll be back together and can live happily forever.

Meryl had read the note 20 or more times and got sick to her stomach. She thought it was over, she thought she didn't have to worry about this anymore. She wanted to put it behind her and wanted to go on and live life with don. This had just started to get better. And now she's back to being scared.

She didn't know that Don was standing there watching her move to the bed and take the pillows off. She was tired and wanted to sleep after all this and needed to get some sleep.

Don had went to the bathroom in their room and got ready to go back to bed for a few more hours. As he walked into the room Meryl was asleep with a note on her chest. He went over to her and grabbed the note and started to read it.
