The feeling

Chapter 3

Meryl woke up feeling amazing. After the night she had with Don, she felt relaxed and could think of other things than the obvious.

She rolled over and looked at don, who was still asleep, and just watched him sleep. He was the most gorgeous sight she'd ever seen. After watching him for little longer she got up, put her robe on, and headed down stairs to make breakfast.

Don woke up and smelled something wonderful. He noticed his wife was not asleep next to him anymore. Don got up and put his robe on and went to find his Meryl.

Meryl was setting the table when something caught her eye. She looked out the window toward the lake and saw someone on the dock. She walked closer and didn't recognize whoever it was. "Hey hun" don said making Meryl jump.

"It smells amazing down here what are making" he went up behind her kissed her cheek and was wondering  what she was looking at.

"Darl what are you looking at? There's no one out there"Don asked.

"That man was out there on the dock" Meryl said shaking. He looked out again and nothing was there.

He decided to not make her upset my saying anything so all he did was lead her over to the table and said "This looks amazing I can't wait to eat it."

Don and Meryl went upstairs showered and got dressed after eating. They were going to visit Louisa at Yale, stay the night in New Haven and drive back in the morning. "Connecticut is so pretty in the winter" Meryl said as they drove past the wintery trees.

"Not as pretty as you" Don replayed smarty. She looked over at him while he was driving and they locked eyes for only a moment.

"Do you think Louisa is gonna mind her old parents coming to see her" Meryl asked.

"Well we did give her life so weather or not she likes it we're still visiting" don said as Meryl laughed. They kept driving on their journey to New haven.

Meryl and Don came and visited with Louisa for a while until she told them she had a party to go to. They understand that she had a young and full life ahead of her and didn't want to intervene with her evening. They soon found a restaurant to eat and sat down and only a few people noticed her. After they ate they went to their hotel to check in and get ready for bed.

"I'm glad that I packed my lotion I don't know what I would've done if I hadn't grabbed it" Meryl said applying it after her shower.

"Well I'm sure as hell glad you packed that" don said pointing at her long black night gown she had on.

She looked down at herself and than looked at him and seductively bent down to put her lotion on her legs. Don stood there and watched her slowly put her lotion on her legs, and could see her cleavage. He decided that he had enjoyed he show for too long.

He grabbed her wrists and placed a forceful kiss on her lips. She stood there and felt all that he was doing to her. He kissed her jaw line and than down her neck and finally dropped her hands and pulled her to the wall. He picked her up and propped her against the wall. "Don" Meryl moaned as he kissed her neck and was pushing her nightgown above her hips.

"God you taste better than anything I've ever tasted" don replied as he kissed back up to her lips and was removing his boxers. Meryl was in to much of a love haze to notice that someone was watching them.

As Meryl was wrapping her legs around don she thought she saw someone outside but than thought it was nothing. "Ah god your good" Meryl moaned as don entered her.

As Don kept loving his wife she opened her eyes and than saw someone watching them from their window. She locked eyes with with the person starring at them and noticed who it was.

"Your mine now I hope you know that" said the man that was now laying on the bed and was in the little room he had put her in.

"I don't belong to anyone and if I did it certainly would never be you" Meryl replied as she was sitting against the wall on the opposite side of where he was laying.

Meryl remembered that face and would never forget it. "Don stop someone's watching us" Meryl said as she untangled her legs and from him and got down.

As Don turned around and put his boxers back on, Meryl got behind him and was shaking like a leaf. She was crying now and gripping his arm as tight as she could like she thought she was gonna lose him.

"That's him, that's the man that took me last year and terrorized me" Meryl said now moving and pulling don back.

"I've got to get out of here" Meryl said pacing the room she was in. It was gross and smelly and she needed to go to the bathroom but only had a bucket.
She heard the door open and went to the other side of the room " come on we're going to a different room" said the man.

"I'm not going anywhere with you" she said shaking in only the long shirt he gave her. He grabbed her by the arm and dragged her to his room. He threw her on his bed and forced her legs open by pinning her down with his own leg.

"Please don't you don't have to do this, you can just take me back and I won't tell anyone please stop!" Meryl pleaded with the man. She fought with all she had, but he was just to strong. All he did was laugh and continue on with what he finally was able to do.

Don ran to the window and started to yell at the man who he finally recognized after all this time. "You son of a bitch, you leave us alone. You've done enough to us" Don yelled through the window.

The man pointed at them and said " you'll never be rid of me. And her," the man said pointing at Meryl "She's never safe so you better watch out or someone might just get hurt". Don was fuming and Meryl has her hands on his arms trying not to break down and show any signs of weakness to him. "And now that you know that I'm back, I guess you should know that I'm never going to stop until I have her back in my arms" said the man. He walked away and whistled the toon that Meryl had heard before.

Meryl laid on the bed crying her eyes out and covering her naked body with a blanket he gave her. She was in pain and didn't know how much longer she could live like this. He had beaten her, sexually assaulted her, and mentally scarred her for life.

Meryl laid there thinking if don would still love her after what's been done to her. She knew don loved her with everything he's got but still felt like he might not want her anymore.

But only a few short blocks away Don's heart was breaking into to two. His wife hasn't been found yet and it's been a week. "Where can she be Henry" Don asked his son " she has to be alive Hen, she has to be" don said with tears in his eyes.

"She's my life and without her there's nothing" don told his son.

As Meryl lay there and was consumed by her thoughts, she heard that whistle that she had to hear for a whole week.

"Hey beautiful lets go give you a bath and wash that beautiful body of yours" the man said as Meryl flinched when he tried to get close. "Hey now I won't hurt you, I only want clean you".

She looked at him and started to cry. He grabbed her arm and jerked her towards the bathroom. He went to start the tub and undress himself when she saw a knife on the counter.

Meryl secretly grabbed the knife and stabbed him in thigh. He fell over in pain and she grabbed a towel and ran for her life.

All Meryl remembers after that is her in the hospital and don there comforting her through the most terrible time in her life.

As the man walked away Meryl let out a sob that brought her to her knees. Don got down and held her as she cried and he only prayed that this wouldn't break her like it did the last time.
