Veronica's PoV
I stared at her brother Lance as he sat. Normally, Lance sitting down and relaxing would be gladly accepted, for he annoyed the quiznack out of everyone. Today, though, everyone was concerned about his unusual behavior. It had been going on for a week now. Him staring at a window, devoid of any emotion, mourning over what could've been.
The day that Allura died, he was different. He walked inside the house, not speaking a word to anyone, his face and heart numb. He pulled up a chair and sat, clutching a flower to his chest. This was his second day of sitting in that chair, refusing to talk, or eat, or sleep, or hug someone. The entire family was concerned for him, mom having a crying fit whenever he refused to eat or talk to her. He had given up on all his dreams. He dropped out of the Garrison even after years of him striving to do his best there. Something was definitely wrong with him. This needed to stop now. It was hurting him and the entire family, mostly him.
So, I decided to call the only people who could possibly break through his wall. His old team...
