Hana didn’t miss her father, nor did she miss the Southern Wolf Tribe. She did however miss Rin and, though she found it hard to believe, Jaken too.

And Jaken had obviously missed Sesshomaru - made clear by the tears of joy streaming down the little imp’s face as he ran towards his master, arms wide open, as Hana and Sesshomaru made their way towards the village of the miko known as Kaede.

“Oh, Milord! Please, I beg of you, never abandon me again!” Jaken bowed before Sesshomaru.

“Is that what you thought, Jaken? That I had abandoned you?” Sesshomaru questioned as he walked past the little imp, a faint smile on his face.

“You should have more faith in me.”

Jaken ran to catch up to Sesshomaru as he walked away, a questioning look on his face, Hana followed behind.

“You seem rather happy – that can’t possibly be good. Where has milord been?”

Purposely ignoring the little imp’s questions, Sesshomaru continued on – off to find Rin.

At Sesshomaru’s ignoring him, Jaken paused his walking for a moment and looked back at Hana, another questioning look on his face.   Hana shrugged as she tried her hardest to appear clueless.

Was that what that feeling was…happiness?

There was no denying that it was.

And for Sesshomaru to be able to admit to such a thing, he had surely come a long way.   His feeling of happiness, however, was not long lasting as he neared the hut of the old miko. Instead of a cheerful Rin or an old human dressed in red and white, Sesshomaru was greeted with a much more unpleasant sight. The sight of a demon dressed in a full red robe, with white hair almost as long as his and ears to match, sitting on top of his head. But the demon now making his way out of the wooden hut was no ordinary demon – to be quite frank, Sesshomaru didn’t even consider him to be a demon.

Sesshomaru stopped walking a narrowed his eyes at the sight of his half-demon brother.

“Inuyasha,” his tone was cold and dry.

“Hey, Sesshomaru,” Inuyasha said, crossing his arms and standing up straight, his voice almost as cold as his brother’s.

“I have no time to waste with you. Step aside.”

At his comment, Inuyasha shot Sesshomaru a nasty glare.

“Oh, it’s Sesshomaru. Hey there onii-san!” A woman greeted boldly as she stepped through the door to stand behind the half demon.

It took Sesshomaru all his might to not behead the woman then and there for even thinking of addressing him as “big brother.” He despised when she did that, and ever since the first time he’d left Rin at the village, she’d made a habit of doing it.

‘She’ was the human whom his half-breed of a brother had taken as his wife – the miko they referred to as Kagome.

He hadn’t planned on meeting them there.

“Rin’s out in the field with Kaede.” She smiled.

Sesshomaru looked at her indifferently.

It hadn’t been long before Jaken had bumped into the back of Sesshomaru’s leg.

“Master Jaken should really pay more attention to where he’s going.”Hana mused.

She then looked ahead of her and suddenly became curious as to what had been the cause of the sudden change in Sesshomaru’s mood. She saw a young demon standing at the door of Lady Kaede’s hut and suddenly, she noticed something…odd.

They had the same eyes – Sesshomaru and the other demon.

Hana blinked at the sudden revelation that Sesshomaru and the demon standing before them looked slightly similar – even if it was just their golden eyes.

Maybe they were related.

Sesshomaru and the other demon both glared at each other, and for a moment, it was if Hana could actually feel the tension between the two.

“Who is he?” She asked curiously – talking to herself, of course.

“That is Sesshomaru’s brother….Master Inuyasha.” She heard an unfamiliar voice state from somewhere nearby. The startled wolf demon looked left and right, trying to find out whom the voice had belonged to.

Jaken was the only person standing close to her, but she knew that it hadn’t been him.

Suddenly something small leaped in front of Hana, landing softly on her nose. And from what she could see, the thing in front of her was…

a flea?

“My name is Myoga. And you are?”

Startled, she flicked the flea from her nose, sending it flying. She then quickly made her way to Sesshomaru’s side. Just as she got to where he was standing, Sesshomaru walked past her – off to find Rin.

As Sesshomaru left, Hana stood there staring at the peculiar looking dog demon that apparently went by the name of Inuyasha. And he stared back at her with a curious look on his face.   Sesshomaru uttered the words “stay here,” to Hana, but she’d been too caught up in staring at the other demon’s ears to respond.

“Lord Sesshomaru, wait for me!” She heard Jaken yell as he scampered off behind Sesshomaru.   The woman – who was obviously human - who had been standing behind Inuyasha, finally noticed the perplexed wolf demon standing before them, and she too soon had a curious look on her face.

“Oh, I haven’t seen you around before,” she said sweetly.

“Who the hell are you?” Inuyasha questioned bluntly.

Well he didn’t seem very pleasant.

His unfriendly tone seemed to have displeased the girl as she soon turned to angrily glare at him.

“Inuyasha! That’s no way to talk to someone you just met! She’s obviously travelling with Sesshomaru!”

Inuyasha turned to face the human, his glare not nearly as fierce as hers.

“Get off my back! All I did was ask a-,”

As a sudden realization seemed to have struck the both of them, they turned to face Hana once more. Theyseemed even more perplexed than before.

“You’re travelling…with Sesshomaru?” They both asked in unison.

Blushing a bit at the same time, Hana smiled at them.

“They seem interesting,” she thought to herself.
