Chapter 4~We are just friends

Emily's POV
I woke up with James arms wrapped round me, at first I was confused but then realised I must of fallen asleep last night whilst watching tv. I looked over to see that Evie had fallen asleep too and so had Oli. I then looked up to see James on his phone.
"Morning" he said.
"what time is it"  i muttered.
"8:30am" he replied.
"I miss Joe" I said.
"I know you do but he's coming to get you in a bit" James told me.
"I don't wanna leave you though"I said moving closer to him.
"I don't want you to leave me either" he said.
"When will I next see you?" I asked.
"Soon I promise" he replied.
"But when's soon?" I questioned.
"In about a week" he said.
"That's to far awayy" I said laughing.
"I will text you everyday" he said.
"Ok" I said.

2 hours later

Emily's POV
We were all sat on the sofa when we heard a knock on the door, Oli went to answer it. I heard Joes voice, I turned to see him. I ran straight over to him and jumped into his arms.
"I've missed you" I said.
"I've missed you more sweetheart" he said.
We all talked for a bit but soon enough it was time for me and Joe to leave I hugged James goodbye and thanked Oli for looking after me and left the apartment with Joe. We got into Joes car.
"So you and James huh?" He said laughing and looking at me.
"What about us?"  I laughed .
"what's going on between you,I don't know about you but I sensed a connection" he told me
I stayed silent.
"Oli sent me a video of you asleep with James arms wrapped around you, don't think I didn't see that" he said.
"We're just friends" I told him.
"If you say so" he laughed just as we walked into the house.
"Plus someone like him could never love someone like me" I muttered but he still heard me.
"What?" He questioned.
"Well look at me, I have been in care more than half my life, I have anxiety, I'm ugly , no one could ever love me" I told him as we sat down on the sofa.
"Don't say that! Your amazing, in every single way. Your so nice kind and lovely who wouldn't love you" he said.
"Thankyou Joe" I said as I edged closer to him.
"No problem" said as he  wrapped his arms round me.

1 week later

Emily's POV
I'm so happy! I'm seeing James today! He was coming round to spend the day with me. Just the two of us Joe was at a meeting and Dianne has gone back on tour, she came home for 2 days which was amazing.
It was 11:3oam , James should be coming any minute. I was home alone since Joe had already left.
I heard a knock on the door and answered it instantly. I let James in and we hugged immediately. I had missed him, even though it had only been a week and we called everyday.
"So What do want to do?"He asked.
"Do you wanna go to the park?" I said.
"Yep!" He said.
We left the house and started walking down to the park.

Short chapter but oh well ❤️
