Emily's POV

It was now finally time for us to head home, it was around 10pm.

We walked home hand in hand, he had a tight grip on my hand the entire way home I just wasn't sure why, we then heard a noise in the forest, sounded like a twig snapping to me, probably just an animal. But James then pulled me closer and whispered, "stay close to me" I really wasn't sure why, what was wrong , I'm sure it was nothing so I just listened to him and kept my hand in a tight grip with him.

James POV

The reason I told her to stay close to me is because , the other day I was down in this forest with some of my school friends , we saw this man, he started to chase us and wouldn't stop, I've never run so fast in my life. God knows what would of happened if we didn't run or even worse if we talk to him.

I couldn't risk Emily getting hurt, not today, not ever. So I made sure she stayed by my side the whole time whilst walking home.

Emily's POV

We then eventually got back to my flat , well Joe and Di's flat and they were be asleep so I quietly let myself and James in and walked into the flat with him.
I turned round to see that he had a kinda look on his face, a frightened look.

"James are you okay?" I asked walking over to him and putting my hand on his shoulder, he flinched.

He said nothing.

"James?" I questioned.

"What? Oh right um yeah I'm fine" he said but I knew he wasn't.

"You don't look okay" I told him.

"I'm fine" he said smiling.

"As long as your sure" I said.

Joe had said that James could just stay over that night on the sofa since James didn't have a key to Oli's and Evie and Oli would probably be asleep. So I went and got a blanket and put it on the sofa for him. I also got him a charger for his phone.

"Well I'm quite tired so I'm gonna go to sleep in my room and I'll see you in the morning" I said smiling.

"Okay, have a nice sleep" he smiled.

"Oh and James?"

"Yes" he said.

"Thank you for tonight, I loved it" I said hugging him.

"Your very welcome"
