Chapter 21~Hes gone

Emilys POV
I got Conor to come with me back to the house\flat because I was scared Joe would shout at me, but I knew he wouldn't if Conor was there.
we got to the flat and Joe answered the door straight away.
there you are, please let me explain" Joe said.
"no... let me explain" I said.
We walked in and sat on the couch.
"Look Joe I've spoken to Conor and realised that maybe the reason you don't like the thought of me and James is that you don't want me to get hurt, is that true?" I questioned.
"Yeah, look Emily, James is an amazing person and I know he will look after you and not break your heart but there's always that chance and I feel like it's my job to protect you" he told me.
"I understand completely, but could you at least give us a chance and if everything goes wrong you can say I told you so?" I asked him.
"Of course" he said.
"Well at the moment me and James are taking it slow we know we like another but we are just gonna see where time takes us" I told him.
"That's cute" he said.
"Well we have bigger problems than James" I said looking down at my feet,
"Like?" Joe questioned.
"Jake" I said. "He's still not answering my messages since that day"
"Look I'm gonna ring the care home see if they can do anything" joe said.
"Thanks dad I love you" I said.

Joes POV
"Thanks dad I love you"
That made my heart melt.
"I love you too angel" I said smiling and giving her a hug.

James and Emily's Texts.

Emily💋💛~Then I told him that if he just gives us a chance we would be ok and everything would be fine and that and If something does go wrong he can say I told you so xxxx

Emily's POV
Joe then suddenly came running into the room.
"Emily!!!"He shouted.
"What?" I said.
"It's Jake!" He screamed.
I stood up from the couch immediately.
"What about Jake?" I said concerned.
"He's run away" joe said grabbing my hand.
"No no no" I said as tears started running down my face.
"We will find him I promise" joe said wrapping his arms around me.
"Let's go" i said grabbing Joes hand.
We left the flat and walked down to the care home.
When we got there we asked if he had left any clues to where he had gone, they then handed me the note he had left.
I then read it out loud.
"As you may have noticed I've left, I'm gone. You won't be able to find me I've gone to 'our' special place"
"Our?" I questioned.
Then it clicked.
I looked up at Joe.
"I know where he is"
