Chapter 31~The dream...

Emily's POV

Someone was banging on the door, it was so loud, it wouldn't stop.
Joe refused to open the door cause god knows who was out there, he was trying to get them t0 go away whilst trying to calm down Dianne since she was as scared as I was.
I was with James gripping onto him for dear life, I was so scared.
Whoever was out there kept screaming for us to let them saying "if you don't let us in, something bad is gonna happen"
I was sobbing , James was holding me telling me everything was gonna be alright, but I didn't believe him.
Suddenly the door burst open....

My eyes shot open!

It was just a dream...

Why did it seem so realistic? I looked down to see that I was shaking, that was horrible.

I looked over to the clock to see it was 9am.

Why did I have that dream? Was it trying to tell me something?oh don't be so ridiculous your just paranoid I told myself .

I walked out into the kitchen, I was still shaking.

"Are you okay?" Joe asked.

"Yeah... fine" I said walking over to James.

"Are you sure" James questioned wrapping his arms round me.

"Yeah I'm fine"

"So Joe and I are going out shopping today so you two are gonna be on your own, got any plans?" She told us.

"I think we're just gonna stay in" I said quickly, I didn't want to go out, I still so scared ...yet I didn't know why.

James and I were now sat on the couch watching friends, I had my arms wrapped round him tightly. I had been like it all day actually, I guess it was for protection.... yet I didn't know why I was feeling like this.... it was just a dream. I really didn't want James think I was one of those clingy girlfriends cause I wasn't, but I don't think he minded since he had his arms wrapped round me too and held me close as I buried my head into his chest.

James POV
Emily was being rather clingy today but I didn't know why. Not that I minded I loved spending time with her, but something was different.

"Ems?" I questioned, I loved calling her that.

"Yeah?" She replied looking up at me.

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

"No why would you think that?" She said rather quickly.

"Because you have been attached to me all day" I said.

"Oh" She said moving away.

"No ... it's fine I like it" I said pulling her back towards me, and wrapping my arms round her.

"Just I can tell something's wrong" I said as she rested her head on my chest.

"Look, if I tell you, you have to promise not to laugh" she said.

"Course I won't" I told her.

"Well, last night I had a dream... a bad dream. Someone was trying to break into the house... they kept banging on the door and screaming ... Joe was trying to get them to go away but they weren't listening .... they just kept screaming for us to let them in... I was terrified.... so was Dianne.... Joe was trying to calm her down as well as trying to get the person at the door to leave..... I was with you...that made it better cause I wasn't on my own but then the door burst open and all the screaming stopped..."

"Then what?" I asked.

"I woke up terrified" she said.

Tears were streaming down her face by this point.

"Awww Ems, I can I promise you it was just a dream" I said running my fingers through her hair.

"I know I was just being stupid... I'm sorry" she said sniffing as I wiped away her tears.

"No you weren't, I can understand why you were scared"

"Thanks James" she said trying to smile.

"Nothing bad is gonna happen to you" I said.

Then we heard banging on the door.....

"You were saying?" She screamed looking terrified....
