On 26 February (Tuesday), I sprained my ankle during basketball training. We had a match against each other (half-court) and when I got the ball, 2 people rushed to me to try and get it. I was really tired since it's been a few hours and I lost my balance and fell... and sprained my ankle.
Ouch.
I was immediately given ice. My friend told me to elevate my ankle so I rested in on a chair with the ice placed on top of my foot. And I was in this position while watching the others play full court until the ice melted. By then, they had finished the match and gone shooting.
I joined back in the training after tying my shoelace all the way to my ankle (it's a pair of high top basketball sneakers). The coach told me to help pick up the balls lol.
Anyway, for some reason, I managed to get back home alone.
And I survived like this until Thursday night when my mother decided to massage my foot. And by that, I mean she was going to push my ankle until the blood flows to reduce swelling. Something like that. It was better after that.
Well, then her sprained wrist got worse! Sorry, Mum :(
So it's been 2 weeks and my ankle hasn't recovered. Rip.
Anyway, there was a game last Thursday which is the SSSC South B Div Girls Finals 2019. The result was:
RGS vs NJC
1st quarter - 20:4
2nd quarter - 6:2
3rd quarter - 18:7
4th quarter - 8:11
Total score - 52:24We won! My school won! In case you were wondering, RGS stands for Raffles Girls' School (which is my school) and NJC stands for National Junior College (which is supposedly a strong opponent). NJC plays aggressively. As for RGS, we just strategise, I guess.
That's not the end, though. There's still Nationals. Good luck to RGS for Nationals, I guess. I hope we can get top 4 :D
