Illuminated in infancy's delights
Laughter dances in starless nightsWith someone to care
The boogeyman learns to spareAnd the loved ones sing a song
That they wished for for so longThe lamenting parents look on
For the children that will grow
And leave them behind like the toys on the lawnThere's a Turkish delight
Sweet and sour like starkest nightA semblance to the tears
That tear the laughter in your earsFor the passion hidden inside a heart
is the hardest maze; a piece of artIn times of bizarreness
It'll be the only thing that's harmlessIt'll hold a hand
It'll dig you out of the soaking sandIt'll tuck you in bed with a smile
And be with you till the last mileFor a thousand years in your memory
The everlasting crown in your treasuryIt'll be the sword of the mightiest knight
Your friend forever; oh infancy's delight.
