#47 Unready

between tearful eyes
and mournful cries

the skies tell of their suffering,
their protests thundering

in grey clouds
and wailing mouths

seas reside
when light decides to hide

it's solemn and bold
how six-foot deep souls struggle to hold

for they are unready,
their feet unsteady

above a precipice;
they're on its crevice

then they slip and yell for all
to hear their inevitable fall
