🇧lue eyes scoured the city.
They were so pale of a blue they were almost grey. Her tongue clicked in annoyance as her stomach grumbled.
All I need is some fucking idiotic Homosapien to stumble across my path. If no one trespasses after a while, I may have to go out and put on an act again.
A gust of wind caressed through her long raven locks. Hence why she called herself that.
Not her parents, her.
She named herself that because her hair was the perfect raven tone. As a baby, she was abandoned but was found by some elderly lady who volunteered at an orphanage. If she hadn't been found, she would've died from starvation.
Being raised at the orphanage, she was known as Ashni Heradima, because the lady who found her thought her eyes resembled closely a bolt of lightning.
Then at the age of eleven, she escaped in the dead of night.
She never really had a last name, and she didn't want people picking up clues about her, putting two and two together that she was the same girl who went missing from Tokyo's only orphanage a year ago.
The only information anyone got about the missing girl, was that her name was Ashni.
While she was still eligible of age to be in the orphanage, she certainly had no intention of ever going back. Every single day, she was nothing but miserable there.
Sadly enough, the only friend she had there, was the lady who found her --- Kuri Tsyuma. Between the two of them, Raven always called her 'Kuri.'
To Raven, Kuri was like a godmother. Someone to try and step into the mother position when she actually had no mother to call her own. Besides risking familiarity, she just knew she wouldn't like hearing the sound of someone addressing her as 'Ashni.'
It would only bring nothing but pain and misery back from the dreary years of her wasted childhood.
To the friends she's developed at school, she was known as Raven Luna.
As for the night, she would conceal her face behind a mask that was shaped like a wolf, colored a deep blue.
Despite her hesitation, knowing it would make her sick, she shoveled the disgusting contents down her throat, not wanting to make any suspicions clear in her friends' minds, leading towards distrust.
Once the bell would ring for 6th hour, Raven would escape to the girls' room to empty out her stomach. That only made her more yearning for the night to come, when she would make it up to her stomach by filling it with human flesh.
As for discovering that she was a ghoul as a child, it happened the first time she could not keep her portion of buttered bread and soup down.
Fortunately for her, she survived mostly on coffee.
Ms. Kuri had heard from the news once that ghouls would not be able to digest food meant for humans. What simmered their hunger down was coffee, but Ms. Kuri never knew that ghouls actually had to eat humans to stay alive.
The other children would sometimes treat Raven with questioning looks as to why she wouldn't lay a finger on her meals. All she had received was looks, but no one actually bothered to say anything.
Raven started to panic when other orphans started to smell... delicious to her.
This new and irrational feeling of wanting to sink her teeth into their skin, made her toss and turn at night. Sometimes the urges would get so bad where she barely slept at all.
