🇦yato heard footsteps slapping onto the pavement behind him, followed by a well-known voice. "Ayato, where are you going?" Raven asked,

"Out," he barked back, barely even turning his head to meet her concerned gaze.

"Was it something I said?"

His face almost meets her gaze, but it's only a half curt turn. "That's none of your concern."

A scoff escapes her, "well, I think it would be, since you're leaving coincidentally after what we talked about."

This time, his body whirls quickly around to face her, but it only lasts while he replies. "Just don't worry about it, got it? I just need a break." As he turns back around and resumes onward, it is then that Raven is halted in her tracks by his harsh words, distraught.

"Okay," she mutters gently, her eyes faltering to the wet pavement below her, before turning on her heel, and reluctantly heading back to Aogiri.

🇮nstead of Aogiri, Raven found herself at the house of the Quinx Squad, asking for Haise. Then she was suddenly enjoying a spontaneous picnic, due to Haise's idea, and basking in the glow of the sun --- her hair drifting slightly with the small breeze.

She had sought Haise out about what happened with Ayato but yet didn't go too far into it, worried she'd reveal dangerous information.

Nevertheless, he gave her useful advice on what to do and she indeed appreciated how willing he was to give her feedback. "So you really think he'll talk to me?" Raven inquires.

Haise nods, an encouraging grin woven on his mouth. "I'm sure if you approach him in a gentle way, there should be no problem. I know these kinds of things can be hard, but there's nothing a little benignity can't help."

"Thanks, Haise, I hope it works."

"I'm sure it will, and if it doesn't -- well, he'll come around eventually."

"So, do you get to do this often?" Raven asks, feeling like she should change the subject.

"Well, sometimes when we're all free, I plan little things like this with my squad. I think it's important to have a bond, if not, an understanding with your team. I believe that's how you earn a little more respect. If I'm honest though, this is the first time I've done it with just a girl to accompany me." Haise explains.

"Oh, really?" Raven quirks a brow, curling part of her mouth into a smirk.

"Yup, you're the first." Haise returns her teasing look with a sultry smile of his own. His smile then fades into a serious expression, but soft enough to not seem intimidating. "You know something? I've taken a liking to you."

Raven's eyes only widen in response, unable to pronounce a verbal one.

Seeing her reaction, he chuckles and continues. "I'm serious, I think you're funny, alluring, and kind from the time I've known you. I understand if you don't feel the same way, but somehow, something in me feels drawn to you."

Raven then breaks out into a smile, "that's relieving to hear because I've always liked you."

This pleases Haise by the spread of the smile already on his face. "You have?"

"Yeah, I have. I know you can't remember how we met or anything like that, because of your accident, but that's okay. I just want you to know that I have." Raven confirms.
