🇭e wears the thinnest of smiles, nodding to Raven.
"Hello there," he greets, acting as if she's not about to destroy him for interfering with her wishes.
"From your outburst of surprise, you seem to know our newest member, Raven. So why don't you show him around?" Eto suggests, but it's really hinted more as an order.
Raven nods to her, then beckons Kaneki to come with her.
The two began to walk down the long hallway, with Raven showing him around but she wasn't really putting effort into it. And once Kaneki got his room, the two stayed inside so Raven could express her frustration.
"Are you kidding me?!" She exasperates.
Kaneki gives her a look of slightly wide, astonished eyes. "What? What'd I do?"
"You go and join Aogiri?! Pretty much right after I say I can't come back to Anteiku." She adds.
Kaneki gives her a slight nod, "yeah, pretty much."
"I did it to protect you guys! And now you left to join us?!" Raven exasperates.
Kaneki huffs out an exasperated sigh, "I couldn't let you handle this on your own."
Raven furrows her brows in dismay at him, "what? Kaneki, your reason doesn't make sense. Handling this on my "own," is the whole reason I had to join in the first place!" Raven retorts.
Kaneki rumbles out a groan, "fine, the real reason, is that I couldn't stand not seeing you again." His words had caught Raven off guard, for no one in her life had ever told her that.
After being shocked in silence for a few moments, she regains her ability to talk. She steps closer to him, standing face to face. She gives him a look in the eye, full of gentleness.
"Kaneki... you didn't have to abandon Anteiku just for me. I would have come and visited more." She assures him.
"You and I both know that Aogiri keeps you too busy. And now, I'll be busy along with you, going on all these missions." He retorts, popping a shrug.
"What about Antei-" She begins to protest.
He ghosts a finger against her lips, silencing her, as he replies. "Anteiku will be fine." He assures her. His finger remains touching lightly against her lips, making a warm tingle heat up Raven's cheekbones.
As soon as Kaneki notices the effect his flirty teasing has on her, he then slowly drops his finger off her face, wearing the slightest of smirks.
Raven let her eyes roll around her head. "Well, since you're already here, there's not exactly much going back now. Just don't cause any trouble. Especially with Ayato." At the end of her caution, she then transmits a warning glare at him.
He playfully throws his hands up, pretending to be scared. "Yes ma'am," he confirms, then cracks a slight smile that she now notices.
She narrows her eyes at him, smacking him in the chest before exiting his room. As she exits out into the long hallway that she always found slightly eerie, Cadi happened to be passing her way, coming towards where Raven was standing.
A grin breaks out on Cadi's face, "Raven, hi." She greets.
"Hey," Raven quietly muses back.
The two girls started walking side by side, down the next hallway. "How are you liking it here at Aogiri so far?" Raven asks, attempting conversation and breaking the quiet.
Cadi rolls a shrug off her shoulders, "it's pretty good, the rooms aren't bad and the missions can be fun."
"Well, I'm glad you like it here," Raven replies.
"What about you? Do you like it here?" Cadi retorts, a brow raised.
"It's fine," Raven muses, not wanting to go into detail on how she feels about "liking it there."
"Soo, any boys catch your eye yet?" Cadi asks, flickering a teasing brow at Raven.
Raven gives her a bewildered expression, "w-what? I'm not sure what you mean."
"Oh, come on, Raven. There's gotta be someone. Ayato's pretty cute." She pursues, nudging an elbow in Raven's hip.
Raven furrows her brows in denial, "Ayato? Why Ayato?" She laughs dryly, a slight pinkness warming her cheeks.
"Come on, you two are always paired for missions, there's gotta be a spark between you two. It definitely seems like there is." Cadi persists.
"Yeah, more like adversity." Raven scoffs.
"I see the way he acts around you, there's a certain discreetness to it," Cadi says with an ambiguous tone.
"Oh, so you're saying he secretly likes me?" Raven lets out another scoff while raising an inquiring brow at her and half a smirk.
"Sure," Cadi agrees, rolling a shrug off her shoulders.
"As if," Raven laughs it off with a slight roll of her eyes.
"Okay, what about our newest member, Eyepatch?" Cadi suggests, making Raven's eyes slightly widen.
"You mean Kaneki?" Raven corrects, queering a brow at her.
A teasing smirk curls back Cadi's lips. "Oh, so you already know his actual name." Cadi remarks.
"I would think so, since we're good friends," Raven confirms as it's an obnoxious remark.
Cadi's brows lift up her head, "good friends? My, my. Did he tell you why he joined Aogiri?"
"Um... he wanted to keep being around me," Raven mutters, rubbing her lips together, feeling her cheeks burn as the truth left her.
Cadi releases a curt squeal, momentarily grabbing Raven's arm. "He so likes you! How could he say that without liking you?" Cadi exasperates.
"Shh, keep it down! And - maybe that's just what good friends say." Raven excuses.
Cadi gives her an expression of disbelief, "good friends? No. Definitely not. This guy has got feelings for you." Cadi dismisses.
Raven slightly shrugs her shoulders, "well, when I came to visit my friends at Anteiku, Hinami did say he missed me the most out of everyone." Raven remembers.
"See? I told you. Definite feelings." Cadi assures her.
Raven's pupils roll up to the top of her sockets. "If you say so," she huffs.
"Watch and see, you'll thank me later." Cadi shoots her a wink, before departing from Raven's side.
Eto then stops by, to tell Raven that they're all going on an important mission.
They were going to infiltrate the ghoul prison -- and this time, Kaneki would be joining her and Ayato.
