【14】- 𝕀nfiltrating

🇷aven grumbled to herself, knowing that this would be one big, happy team.

Definitely. 

Ayato and Raven had problems of their own, but now Kaneki was thrown into the mix, when Kaneki and Ayato already despise each other. She could only hope they could set their differences aside for the purpose of the mission. 

The mission was to infiltrate the ghoul prison, or what the doves call, "a ghoul detention center." It was for the most dangerous ghouls from the 23rd ward. 

They had already rescued that one annoying ghoul who seemed to be obsessed with Yamori and wouldn't stop grieving over his death. 

Raven learned his name was Naki; and then she had to help Kaneki fight some ghoul twins who also were one-eyed, so that was an eventful evening.

The trio of dangerous ghouls watched a rain of Aogiri members descend down upon the terrified, firing guards. A few didn't make it, but the guards were all still heavily outmatched. They then head down a spiraling staircase with a few Aogiri members being the shield in front of the trio. There was Ayato taking the lead, Raven in the middle shielded by everyone, and Kaneki lagging behind the two.

A protective barrier starts to close, dividing them off from the guards below who were still frantically blasting bullets from their guns. Kaneki jumps down, shoving his ombre purple rinkaku into the space between, leaving it parted open.

"I'm going in!" Ayato announces, diving through the opening with Raven right behind him.

What surprises Raven is when Ayato wraps his ukaku around him like a protective barrier, still managing to shoot down spikes at half the guards. That's the first time she's noticed he could do that in the time they've known each other. 

Once they both land in front of the guards that were left, Raven wastes no time in speeding through them, taking out each one with a quick jab of her rinkaku. Once she's finished with a trail of dead guards behind her, Kaneki lands beside them. 

"It's a shame we don't have time to eat," Ayato grumbles, before walking away and around the corridor. Kaneki doesn't give a response and walks in the opposite direction that Ayato went.

"So I guess we're splitting up now? Okay," Raven comments, earning no response and rolling a shrug off her shoulders. 

As she runs down a hallway, two figures dressed in contrasting colors flash by her, making her halt and whirl her body around. The two figures turn out to be the twins she defended Kaneki from the previous evening.

"Kurona and Nashiro? What are you two doing here?" Raven asks, frowning a brow at them.

The twins share a momentary glance before looking back at her. "We're here to recruit a prisoner, and I assume that's why you're here too," Kurona states.

"We don't want to fight you since we both don't have time." Nashiro, the white-haired twin adds.

"We apologize for attacking your friend, we just wanted to see if the rumors of Eyepatch's strength were true." Kurona comments.

Raven nods, "you're forgiven, I hope this means we can be on good terms now." She replies. 

The twins nod and then continue on their way, Raven passing them in the opposite direction. She then comes to a clearing of two Doves surrounded by cloaked Aogiri members. 

One was a tall, broad man, and beside him was a young woman with short blonde hair ---Investigator Mado. She seemed to be sitting there, due to the missing chunk of flesh in her calf.

"Investigator Amon, do yourself a favor and leave me. There's no need for both of us to be killed." She pleads. The male Investigator, Amon, runs forward, slashing down another Aogiri member with his two quinques.
