Chapter 8

In the morning, Saya was drinking coffee with Zoro at the kitchen table. She wasn't able to stomach anything else at the time and her head was throbbing. Zoro was more than content to simply sit with her in silence, his head was slightly throbbing too and he was dreading the moment when Luffy and Ace were going to wake up and fill the house with their loud voices.

Luckily, Thatch and Marco made it downstairs first and were both suffering from a hangover like they were. Without saying anything, they sat down at the table with the couple and focused on their coffee. Marco, probably feeling a bit better than the other three, got out his phone and started checking his unread messages and social media. Following suite, Zoro began to do this too as his headache began to fade. When Saya let out a groan and leaned her head against his shoulder, Zoro simply wrapped his free arm around her as he continued to look at his phone.

"You all look great," Sabo remarked sarcastically as he entered the room, snickering a bit at the disgruntled group.

"Not our fault you decided to be a spoil sport and not drink yoi," Marco grumbled as he glanced up at his brother.

Sabo sat down across from Saya, frowning slightly at her. "Someone had to make sure none of you destroyed the house, Shanks would have killed us if we trashed it."

"Still can't believe Dad left us," Saya finally grumbled, wrapping her arms around Zoro with a pout on her face.

"Maybe he has a secret lover or something yoi," Marco joked, chuckling slightly at the thought.

"That's not funny, Marco. Dad will never love anyone else but mom!" Saya snapped back, letting out a whimper as a sharp pain shot through her head. This drew Zoro's attention and he put down his phone to run a hand through her hair.

"Saya it's been six years since mom died...Shanks is probably lonely," Sabo admitted softly, trying to be as gentle with the topic as possible. Though none of the brothers called Shanks dad like Saya did, considering Newgate had been the one to actually adopt them, they had never had a mother figure beside Hana so they all had referred to her as their mom too.

"Yeah you can't expect the man to be alone for the rest of his life, he has needs just like the rest of us," Thatch commented, bringing his coffee mug to his mouth to take a sip but missing slightly and spilling on his shirt a bit. He grumbled something the rest of them couldn't hear.

Saya scrunched her nose in disgust. "Ew! Why'd you have to put that image in my head, Thatch?! The thought of him dating someone was bad enough..." she groaned.

Marco shook his head, letting out a large sigh. "Thatch what the fuck! We were already suffering enough, don't you think?"

"Shanks wouldn't date someone without telling you guys anyway, right?" Zoro remarked as he looked around at all of the siblings.

"Probably not...I mean it's not like he's a secretive person or anything," Sabo offered, getting up to go get something to eat.

"I don't know why anyone would want to deal with this family if they didn't have to anyway. They'd have to be crazy yoi." Noticing a glare from Saya who was still holding onto Zoro, he chuckled a bit, "No offense, Zoro."

"You're just using that as an excuse because no one wants to date you, Marco." Saya stuck out her tongue at the blonde male.

Sabo walked back into the room with a bowl of oatmeal, sitting back down. "She's right, Saya and I are doing just fine relationship-wise."

Thatch starting laughing, earning a punch in the arm from Marco. "No one wants to date you either yoi!" he snapped at his older brother.

"Ah so you're admitting it," Zoro snickered at the expense of the blonde.
