Chapter 9

The next morning Saya woke up just in time to see Zoro's car pulling up. She quickly got dressed: throwing on a pair of black jeans and tucking in a red and white button down, pulling on her typical black heeled booties, and hurriedly applying some makeup. Her hair was a mess but she didn't really care. She ran out of her room after grabbing her bag and hurried past her brothers who were starting to groggily leave their rooms. Saya almost knocked over Marco as she rushed down the stairs past him.

"Oi! Watch it yoi!" He grumbled as he attempted to regain his balance, shooting a glare at her back. "Why are you in such a hurry anyway?" He questioned as he watched her grab her parka and throw it on.

"I'm going on a date with Zoro and he's here!" She finished putting on her coat and reached for the door, opening it and coming face to face with a surprised green-haired male who was in the process of knocking on the door. "Zoro!" She squealed, quickly engulfing him in a tight hug.

Marco let out a chuckle, shaking his head as he walked into the kitchen. "Have her home by dinner or we'll have your head, Roronoa!" He called, looking back at them with a smirk before disappearing out of sight.

"He doesn't mean that!" Saya clarified quickly as she dragged him away from the front door, only stopping once they reached his car. "Sorry I was running a little late...I only woke up once I heard you pull up..." she admitted, scratching the back of her head with a goofy grin on her face.

Zoro let out a soft chuckle as he ruffled her hair, moving past her towards the driver's side of the Jeep. "Well, then we're even cause I was about 20 minutes late cause I couldn't find the place." He smiled at her sheepishly as she got into the car on the other side.

"You come here almost every day to pick up Ace and Luffy for work and you've been coming here since we were little!" She exclaimed though she wasn't really surprised.

"Yeah, I know! This place is just in the middle of fucking nowhere..." he grumbled as he started entering a destination into the GPS on his phone before backing out of the driveway. Saya watched him silently for a moment, admiring his concentration as he watched the road with furrowed brows, only looking away to take a glance at the GPS every now and then.

She only decided to pipe up when she realized he missed a turn. "Don't get mad, Mossy, but you were supposed to turn right back there~" She chimed, chuckling a bit when a string of curses left his mouth as. "Looks like the GPS is redirecting you though~" she added, chuckling when this new information gained her a glare from the green-haired male.

"Why didn't you start with that?" He hissed but Saya could tell he was starting to relax when he realized he wasn't going to have to turn back and could keep going till the next turn.

Saya simply shrugged, pulling on his arm so he would release his right hand from the wheel and so she could slip her hand into his, squeezing it slightly. "I'm hungry~!" She whined slightly, frowning when she realized she hadn't eaten breakfast.

Zoro let out an annoyed sigh. "I swear, everyone in your family is always hungry," he grumbled but squeezed her hand back, a slight smile on his lips now. "But, I suppose we can stop at the diner that's on the way..."

"You're the best~!" She kissed him on the cheek, giggling when a dusting of pink appeared on his cheeks as he muttered something she couldn't quite hear. Saya just sat and watched him in silence again, her eyes drifting to the light snowfall outside every so often. She had never felt so content in her whole life and she had no idea how she had ended up dating the man she's been in love with since she was a kid especially after what he had told her only a few weeks ago. Her heart suddenly sunk at the thought of the rejection, making her sit up a little in her seat. Saya knew she had to ask him about it if she didn't then it would continue to bother her. "So uh, can I ask you something?"
