Chapter 2

Sunlight was the first thing Saya noticed as she awoke the next morning, making her squint and let out a small groan. The next thing she noticed was that she had fallen asleep in Luffy's room and he was snoring in her ear and holding onto her tightly. Trying to be as careful as possible, Saya detached herself from her brother and gently stood up. She glanced back at his sleeping form, smiling at his care-free expression.

After taking a shower and changing into a pair of high-waisted jeans and a black cropped turtle neck sweater, Saya made her way down to the kitchen which was still deserted. She noted the time on the clock, 9:00 am, and that it was Saturday. She figured that the only ones that probably had to work today were her Dad and Marco and they probably wouldn't have to do that till later.

Deciding that she would cook a huge breakfast for her brothers she opened the fridge, remembering to her disappointment that the only food in there was stuff for sandwiches. She let out a huge sigh and shut the fridge, starting to make coffee instead for anyone that would wake up while she was gone. After that was started she pulled on her black boots and red parka, one that looked almost identical to Luffy's. Grabbing Ace's jacket off of the hook she headed upstairs, opening his door to find the male spread out on his bed, sheets kicked to the bottom of the bed, and snoring loudly.

Saya couldn't help but let out a chuckle as she walked over to her older brother. Looking right down at him she noticed his tattoo on his arm that spelled "ASCE" with the "S" crossed out. She remembered the night he had gotten that; Ace, her, and Marco had all gotten drunk together. Marco had dared Ace to get a tattoo, but Ace hadn't realized he told the tattoo artist how to spell his name wrong until he had finished the S. At that point, there was nothing to do but cross it out and keep going, but it had produced a story that everyone had laughed at for months and would never let the raven-haired boy forget.

"Hey, Ace!" Saya shook her brother, only stopping when he groaned, "I need you to drive me to the grocery store!" The family only had two cars right now: the old pick-up and Thatch's newer but smaller car, both of which had stick shifts. Saya couldn't drive stick, and her father had sold the car she used to drive when she started college, leaving her in desperate need for one of her brothers to drive her places.

Ace shoved his head under his pillow, "go ask Marco!"

"But I want you to drive me~" she cooed, knowing Marco would need more sleep considering he was working tonight.

Ace grumbled something she couldn't hear but reluctantly got out of bed, instantly pulling on black sweatpants and a red crewneck sweat-shirt. As Ace was pulling on a pair of socks and his black boots, Saya held out his jacket to him. He grunted a "thank you" as he pulled it on.

"You're the best~" she chimed as they walked out of his room and down the stairs, Ace grabbing the keys to the truck off the hook by the door as they exited the house.

"You owe me one," he muttered.

"Hey, I'm making a big breakfast. Isn't that enough?" she pouted, crossing her arms.

He clicked his tongue, "tch. We'll see..."

Saya and Ace both climbed into the car, and after about five minutes of it warming up and when they couldn't see their breath anymore, they took off towards town. Ace turned on the news station but Saya quickly turned it to the classic rock station. This gained another annoyed look for Ace, but Saya ignored it by busying herself with checking her text messages.

"Oh weird..." Saya muttered as she looked at one of them.

"What is it?" Ace inquired, looking at her mortified expression from the corner of his eye.
