ERROR'S Point of View

I felt my soul clench as I watched Ink wipe away the glitch's tears away and when there was a knock on the door it felt like my soul stopped beating. There was a skeleton with dark bones and multicolored eyes, magenta, yellow and blue. Around the blue iris was a yellow star. Parts of his skull were detached and floating and running up his cheekbones were patches of yellow and orange, almost like Ink's little ink splotch. For some reason my soul swelled with pride as I watched the skeleton and I didn't understand why until the group's meeting started.

It was obvious Nightmare was paying attention to the conversation and to the glitch but I couldn't. I couldn't pay attention to those things. I was too distracted by the other versions of Ink and myself. They were a couple. They had a family. They were happy together. As soon as my other version took out his strings to separate the fighting children, the glitch started shaking. I could tell by her body's reaction that she was about to have an anxiety attack. The black haired woman dismissed everyone and all left. Even Ink.

"Close the portal," Nightmare ordered and I did as I was told. "Now pull up the code for that universe." Once again, I did as I was told. I didn't have the energy to talk back or retaliate. I felt empty for some reason. I glanced over the code as I pulled it up.

"She's affecting the stories of each character, just as her relatives did. Though this one will be more detrimental if she continues to stay in this universe," I numbly stated.

"We know where she is and we know that they're expecting a move from us. Let's wait for them to make their move. After all, this game is just now getting fun." Nightmare laughed and waved his hand, dismissing me from the throne room. I don't even know why I let this guy boss me around. I'm the destroyer of universes. I could easily take out him and his pathetic empire. I might let him do it because I'm tired of being alone in the Anti-Void but I'd rather not think about it.

I opened a portal to my mini lair and sat underneath my web of strings. Laying back on the floor, I stared up at the puppets I've created. Almost all of them were Sans', there was one Papyrus, and all of them were special to me. Most people wouldn't understand it, my reasoning for them being special. After all, they're just cloth puppets, but after being called so many names under the nonexistent sun and finding that all you're good at is destruction and killing, creating something that you created is nice. You feel like you're not good at just ONE thing, like there are more options in the world. Unfortunately, I can't pursue those options. Balance must be maintained in this void. One creates, one destroys. Yin and Yang. So is the way of our lives.

I heard a portal open but ignored it. I didn't want to do anything. I just wanted to be left alone right now. That is until whoever opened the portal jumped on me.

"Error!!" I started glitching out at the unwanted physical contact. I automatically knew who the owner of the voice was.

"WhAt Do YoU wAnT, bLuE?" I sat up and looked at the small, hyperactive skeleton. "HoW dId YoU eVeN gEt HeRe?"

"Oh, Ink visited me and told me that he needed some help with the Doodle Sphere. It's been awhile since you visited me so I asked if we could stop by here on our way to the Sphere." ERROR signs covered my eye sockets as I processed what he said.

"InK iS hErE?" I started glitching and looked around. I was right. Ink was here and he was looking at my puppets.

"Oh! Oh! Did you finish the puppet you promised to make me? The one that looks like my brother."

"Y-yEaH." I brought down the Papyrus puppet and gave it to him. "CoUlD yOu GeT oFf Of Me?"He got off of me and I stood.

"Thank you! I love it! It looks just like my brother! Nehehehehe!" He laughed and I felt myself smile. Yeah, he was a part of the Star Sanses and he was technically my enemy but he's always been here to cheer me up when I needed him to.

"G-g-Go O-oN kIdDo." I opened up a portal for the pair. This entire time, Ink has ignored me. I don't blame him though. It made my soul ache but it was his choice to ignore me.

"Are you gonna hurt anyone while I'm gone?" Blue looked up at me, literal stars in his eyes. So that's why he's here.

"I-i-I hAvEn't HuRt AnYoNe In A wHiLe." My voice glitched as I lied to the hyperactive blueberry. I could feel Ink's stare. At least I got his attention.

"That is good! The Magnificent Sans is proud of you!" Blue smiled up at me, hugging his new plush and I looked away. I felt bad for lying to the kid but there was no way I was going to tell him what I did. "Oh! I have more cloth for you!"

Blue took out a medium sized leather bag and handed it to me. "T-tHaNkS, I j-JuSt RaN o-O-out."

"Blue." Ink spoke out for the first time. "We need to get going. Are you done?"

I noticed that Ink was staring at me. Disappointment and sadness was in his eyes. My soul clenched. Blue hugged me tight and ERROR signs covered my sockets again. I awkwardly patted the small skeleton's head.

"G-gO oN. Y-yOu DoN'T w-WaNt To Ke-E-eP iNk WaItInG." I gently pushed off Blue and he nodded.

"Will you be okay on your own?" I nodded in response to his question. Blue waved at me before stepping through the portal. To my surprise, Ink didn't follow him. Instead, he closed the portal as soon as Blue stepped into the Doodle Sphere.

"You lied to him." Ink got straight to the point. I sighed softly.

"YoU uSuAlLy DoN'T sTaRt OuR cOnFrOnTaTiOnS."

"Not a confrontation. Yet. Why did you lie to him? Why are you two so close even though you've kidnapped him and made him play a genocide route?" Ink's anger started to show.

"JeAlOuS, sQuId?" This made him to flush rainbow.

"N-No! Why would I be? I don't want my friend hurt."

"YoU tHiNk..." I sighed and rubbed the back of my skull. "Of CoUrSe YoU wOuLd."

Ink stayed silent. It seemed like he was thinking so I started looking through the cloth blue brought me. I could make that skele-kid with it. What was his name again? It didn't matter.

"A-aRe YoU gOnNa StAy LoNg? I'd Li-I-iKe To SlEeP."

"You're... you're a completely different person when you're alone." Ink spoke slowly, like he was choosing his words carefully. I stayed silent and opened up a portal for him. I could feel his stare on my back when he stepped through.

I laid on my side and brought down the Ink puppet I made. I know it's weird but I slept with it whenever I could. It made the voices stop momentarily.

"DaMn BaLaNcE..." I muttered and drifted off into a dreamless sleep.
