A Nerd like Her

"Psst..Annabeth!"

Annabeth turned around to see one of her best friends, Piper, grinning at her.

"Oh hey Piper! What's up?" Annabeth replied as she leaned on her locker.

Piper's eyes widened with excitement.

"There's a new student! He's a transferee, everybody's saying that he's really handsome."

Not as handsome as my Percy. Annabeth thought.

"I wonder if he has a girlfriend..." Piper wondered out loud.

"Why? Are you going to ask him out if he doesn't?" Annabeth joked.

"Pfsh, no..."

Annabeth rolled her eyes and laughed. "Sure..."

"OH MY GOD! Did you see that new student? He's so hot!" She heard someone say behind her.

She turned around and saw two girls squealing over "the new student".

"Yeah! I hope he doesn't have a girlfriend! I'm so going to ask him out if he doesn't!"

"Back off he's mine! OH MY GOD! THERE HE IS!"

The two girls ran off while still gushing over the new student.

She saw a mob of girls crowding a boy. A boy who seemed much too familiar.

She smiled to herself. This was going to be good.

"Annabeth! There he is!" Piper squealed

"Yeah. But I don't know if he wants those girls squealing over him. I heard he has a girlfriend." Annabeth smiled.

"He does? Aw...too bad. Wait, from whom did you hear that from? Do you know his girlfriend?" Sarah raised her eyebrow at Annabeth.

Annabeth shrugged. "I don't know who his girlfriend is, let me ask him."

"Annabeth wait!" Sarah called out but Annabeth was already walking towards Percy.

She leaned on a locker not too close to Percy to see if he would notice her.

She saw Percy looking around and then his gaze landed on her. He grinned as he ran over to Annabeth, confusing the other girls.

Percy lifted her up as she kissed him. Everybody stayed silent as they watched the couple.

Once the two pulled away, everyone started gushing about what happened. But that didn't matter to her.

"I missed you, Seaweed Brain." She grinned

"I missed you too."

"Why are you here though?" Annabeth asked

"Um... I love you?"

Annabeth chuckled as she shook her head. "I love you too. Now what really happened?"

"I got kicked out..." He muttered sheepishly.

She laughed and hugged him as he hugged back. She heard everyone whispering to each other.

"I can't believe a nerd like her has a boyfriend that hot!"

She smiled. She didn't care about what those people said. She knew Percy didn't care either. They both knew that nothing can break their relationship.

Especially now that they have each other.
