He stares at her most of the time like she's on fire which isn't far from the truth the way his gaze sears her skin. Peeling off her jacket as soon as she's through the door leaving her only in a tanktop isn't likely to help but at least it keeps her from overheating.

"You're supposed to be focusing on geometry," she says while skimming her physics notes.

"Sorry, kinda distracted." Annabeth can practically feel his stupid grin.

"I can leave if you need." Annabeth lifts her eyes and gives him a look.

"No, I'll focus," he says quickly and looks back down at his math homework.

His focus manages to last all of forty-five seconds before the skin on her left collarbone feels like it's boiling.

"Seriously, Jackson?" Annabeth smacks her pencil against the coffee table and glares at him.

"Your tattoos are distracting!" He throws up his hands defensively. "If you wouldn't wear tank tops all the time..." Percy mutters.

"I wear tank tops because I like them so learn to deal with it, and even when I wear a jacket you just stare at my neck or lips." Annabeth narrows her eyes at him.

"I- that's- okay, but- I- I can't-" Percy gives up with a grunt and looks away.

Annabeth smiles and Percy can't make eye contact with her. It's the same sheepish look he gets every time she calls him out on his staring or lingering touches. For a hotshot eighteen year-old he sure squirms a lot like a little kid.

"What are you staring at anyways?" Annabeth says softly.

She has other shirts she could wear but she enjoys knowing his eyes are locked on her and might feed his hormones a little more than necessary.

"Your tattoos," he mumbles.

"That's what you're so interested in?" Annabeth leans back against her elbows.

"I just keep thinking about what other ones you have under-" Percy's face turns bright red.

"You're gonna have to take me someplace nice before that happens, someplace I'd have to wear a dress." Annabeth turns back to her work and keeps a straight face.

She's likely just short circuited his brain between the two images.

"You'd- you'd wear a dress..." This is definitely not the right way to get him back to studying but if she gets a nice night out from it then it's worth it.

"Yep," she says and flips the page on her notes.

Percy opens his mouth but Sally shouts from the kitchen that the cookies are ready and Percy looks between her and the door until she yells at him again. Percy lets out a sigh and pushes himself up from the couch and towards the kitchen. He comes back holding a plate of blue chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven.

Annabeth swipes two of them before Percy can even put the plate down and bites the first one in half. She chews it quickly and lifts the cookie to take another bite when she catches his eye.

"What?" She shoots around another mouthful of cookie.

"You've..." Percy trails off and shakes his head.

Annabeth gives him a look like he's grown another head until he steps towards her and leans down to her level. His hand cups her cheek and he drops his lips to her's. Percy's tongue slides across her lower lip and flicks at a trial of chocolate left behind by the cookie. He sucks at the spot and pulls at her lip with his teeth before he kisses her hard leaving her with the mixing taste of chocolate and salt. It didn't take him long to find her weakness for slightly sweaty post workout Percy.
