Annabeth slides into her desk at exactly six fifty-five and flips her notebook open to a fresh blank page. Foundations of University Studies is a bullshit class that's supposed to teach freshman about building good academic skills and the dangers of squandering your time with drinking and partying. Two things Annabeth doesn't need to be lectured on but attendance is mandatory meaning she has show up every Tuesday and Thursday morning and keep herself from correcting the professor.
More students come trickling in various states of consciousness. Some carry cups of coffee in order to kick start their brains this early in the morning while others fall into their desks bleary eyed and hunched over. Then there are what she calls the sleep zombies which are the students whose bodies have shuffled into class while their minds are still back in their bed sleeping peacfully. At some point during lecture they'll come to and realize where they are and panic will grip them for a second while they make sure they're fully dressed and this isn't the classic showed-up-to-school-naked dream.
At six fifty-eight the professor walks in and dumps his stuff on the podium and takes a long swig from his coffee mug. Most mornings he looks little more awake than the rest of the class making Annabeth wonder if he hates this course as much as she does.
"Morning everyone, I hope you're all ready for the test this morning," he says and gets a few grunts in response.
Annabeth gives herself a small smile and twirls her pencil in her fingers. There's nothing more satisfying to her than destroying a test curve and today's going to be no exception. She places a bet with herself that she'll be done in thirty-five minutes.
The professor starts handing out exams and the last few students come rushing through the door and find a seat including the guy that normally sleeps through class- on the days he manages to even show up. He takes the seat directly to her left and Annabeth glances sideways at him. He falls into the I-literally-just-rolled-out-of-bed-and-walked-in class of students and wears the same sweatshirt every morning. For pants he switches off between Finding Nemo pajamas and a pair of dark blue jeans. If he could manage a shower and to run a comb through his hair Annabeth imagines he'd clean up incredibly well. Even in this state he's admittedly still very cute. He also drools when he sleeps which for some reason Annabeth doesn't find incredibly annoying. Today, in addition to his Nemo pajamas, he's holding a large cup of coffee in one hand and an energy drink in the other.
"Mr. Jackson, glad you could show up for the test, think you can stay awake?" The professor's jab gets a few laughs from those students awake enough to have access to higher brain function.
"Yeah," he says in a husky, morning voice that Annabeth enjoys a little too much.
Annabeth watches as he pulls the lid off the coffee and crack the energy drink open before staring off at the space in between them for a moment. Annabeth has seen plenty of weird things happen across campus but when he pours the entire can of energy drink into his coffee she marks it as a new high point of crazy.
"I'm probably going to die..." He mutters to himself before he lifts the cup and chugs the whole thing.
Annabeth is never too shocked for words but this kid has just done the stupidest thing she's probably ever seen.
The guy in front of her tosses the exams onto her desk and Annabeth grabs one before passing the rest on. She glances over at Jackson again and watches for any signs he's about to have a seizure or overdose from caffeine but he just rubs a hand over his face, takes a test and gets started.
Annabeth shakes her head and gets started on her test and deeply hopes he hasn't just killed himself.

Another update for y'all.
I've gotten so much votes and comments lately. Thank you very much!!!I can't believe this has gotten about 4k reads and 200 votes! I've never thought it would got that far!!
I'm working on a two-part story, so it'll be two chapters long. I hope it would turn out alright.
I had a How To Train Your Dragon movie marathon last night and I cried a river XD
Do I have any readers that are a big fan of HTTYD?
I have an announcement for HTTYD fans: DreamWorks were gonna release the third movie of HTTYD in 2016. BUT the movie makers didn't want to collide with Disney Finding Dory, so they pushed HTTYD to 2017. THEN, a few people heard that there's gonna be a fourth movie for Toys Story that's gonna come out on 2017. So HTTYD might get pushed back to 2018.
THE TOY STORY THING IS NOT OFFICIAL. I just read about it.
I got a bit mad 'cause Disney is trying to push back DreamWorks and it's not fair. I am a bit excited for Finding Dory, but not so much for Toys Story. I'm not much of Disney fan anymore when Frozen came along (don't hate!) It's a pretty good movie and they did a great job getting the message out there. But there was a lot of plot holes and oh look! talking rocks! where did they come from?? See what I mean?? And also, it kind of bothered me that Elsa and Anna and their mom look EXACTLY alike and Rapunzel from Tangled. Disney needs to work on making the ladies unique.
And as you can tell, I am a HUGE fan of HTTYD so I got mad. I mean come on! It's already pushed back a year and they're gonna push it back one more!!
Extra long A/N, sorry ♡
Please comment and vote! If you have any opinions for my opinions, I will read them!! Each one is greatly appreciated!!
