A/N: Okay, so the whole book idea doesn't match my story line anymore, and I REALLY WANT to start writing from Michael's or Janet's point of view.

So I changed the description, and every time you see a name in bold it means the story is from that person's point of view.

Thank you so much for reading this, I love you!

29th of August, 1984
Brooklyn is 18, Michael is 26

Michael: I rang Brooklyn's house door, waiting. I looked back, and saw Brandon giving me a thumb's up.

Brooke's brother opened the door, smiling at me.

"Hey, Mike." he said when he let me in, "Happy birthday."

"Thanks." I mumbled.

"So, where are you taking my sister?"

"That's a surprise." I said as Joshua, Brooke's dad, came into the living room.

Chris looked like his father, only with blonde hair and was a bit taller. Unlike his sister, who had a dark shade of green eyes, he had light blue eyes.

"Hello, Michael. Finally here to take my daughter on a date?" Joshua asked.

I chuckled at that. Unfortunately, for the last two weeks I was beyond busy, having no time to take Brooke on a first date.

Every time we made plans, I had to cancel them. But I told her it was worth the wait.

"Yes, sir. Finally." I smiled.

When I heard from Brooke that her father approved of us, I was relieved.

"Speaking of your daughter, where is she?"

"Oh, she's just getting ready." Chris laughed.

"Who's getting ready?" Brooke's voice was suddenly heard.

"No one," he murmured, "Have fun."

"Where are we going?" Brooke asked me as the car started.

I just smiled at her, keeping my mouth shut.

"By the way, happy birthday."

"Thank you, baby." I said, giving her a light kiss.

I took her hand in mine, kissing it a bit.

Thirty minutes later, the car stopped.

Brandon handed me the little picnic basket and a blanket, "Have fun, you two."

"Come on." I told Brooke, getting out of the car.

I waited for her, and closed the door behind her.

"Oh my God. Mike, this is amazing." she said, looking around.

We were standing in a giant, quiet field.

I took her hand, leading her up a little hill. The view was amazing.

We found a good spot and I laid out the blanket. "Are you hungry?"

"No, not really. Can we eat later?" Brooke said.

"We can eat whenever we want, we have four hours to be here."

She sat down, inhaling. I sat down next to her and took my sun glasses off.

It was a beautiful day for August in California.

"I love this. Thank you, Michael."

I kissed her and caressed her hair.
