Chapter Six

(Vinny's POV ; Monday morning)

I made my way off the bus, secretly excited for today. I was going to talk to Gabrielle today. Even if I had to pin her against the wall.... We needed to fix this. I looked across the sidewalk and saw Krissy exiting her mom's black camaro, Gabrielle right behind her. I quickly walked towards Gab, but got cut off by Flo, one of my close friends. "Yo waddup homey?" He attempted to do our handshake but I stopped him. "I need to go talk to Gabr-" I stopped talking when I noticed she had already went inside the school. I faceplamed myself, and secretly cursed at Flo, who was so clueless. I angrily walked away, no matter what, I will fix this...

(Two hours later)

I was making my way into third period, when, I saw her. She stopped at her locker, and was shoving things in it, when the bell rang. A look of panic spread across her face, she hurriedly finished up at her locker, and began to walk to class. Soon the hallway cleared, and it was only me and her. When she saw me, she rolled her eyes, and started walking the other way. "Wait! Gab! Please talk to me..." I whimpered. She kept walking. Then I got an idea. "Do you remember? When we were little? We promised we'd be friends forever...." I yelled. She stopped, and turned to me. "What happened to us?" I asked. Her eyes widened, and her fists clenched. "What happened? What HAPPENED? You turned into a jerk! That's what happened!" She yelled, taking me by surprise. I had never really heard her yell, she was always such a happy, peppy, person. She must be really pissed right now... But at least she was talking to me. "I never meant to hurt you." I said. "Well, you did. And you can't fix that." Gab started walking again, but I grabbed her wrist. "No. Please. Give me another chance." She stopped, and turned to me. She looked me in my eyes, and bit her lip. She was slowly breaking down. I knew it. But then Gab's expression turned cold and hard again, and she pulled my grip off of her wrist. "Frankly Vinny, I've ran out of second chances to give." And with that, she walked off to class. I sighed, and hit the wall. I really did screw up....
