Chapter Fifty-Two

(Gabrielle's POV)

I sat in the back of the police car, my heart threatening to beat out of my chest. We were desperately close to my house, which meant I was desperately close to seeing Vinny. My palms were sweating despite the cold air biting at them... Would Vinny want anything to do with me? Had he moved on? The thoughts running through my mind made my heart skip beats... I'm so scared. When the police car pulled up to my house, I sat there staring at it through the window. I was finally home. I reached to open the door, but it was opened from the outside, and it now revealed Krissy and my parents. I looked at them with wide eyes, and then was attacked by Krissy. She tackled me into the seat, enveloping me in a huge hug. I could feel her warm tears making a puddle on my chest... Ewh. I laughed, and hugged her back. "I'm happy to see you too hon, but please don't cry on me. That's gross..." Krissy sat up, and laughed. "Still the same old Gab, I see." We got out, and I hugged my parents, my mother crying tears of happiness. I was so happy to see them... But where was Vinny? They walked me inside, and my mom told me to go shower and get dressed in my own clothes while she burned the ones I had on. I obeyed her, and stripped out of the clothes I had on, and jumped into the shower. Being in the comfort of my own home allowed me to relax in the shower for the first time in forever. I was always afraid that Marko would try to come in when I was showering at his house, thank God he never did. When I finally got out, I dried my hair, and went out to my bedroom, and slipped into black leggings and one of Vinny's sweaters. I grabbed my phone, and began to walk downstairs, when I saw Vinny enter the house. I dropped my phone, and ran into his arms. He squeezed me tight and spun me around, and we both spilled tears of happiness. When he set me down, our lips connected, and I kissed him with more passion than I ever had. Finally, I was back with my baby....
