Chapter Nineteen

(Gabrielle's POV ; 3 weeks later)

"Is it winter break yet?" I groaned as I trudged out of my bedroom. "Not yet Gab. Sorry to bum you out." Krissy laughed, and slurped on her cereal. Really? How is she always so peppy? It's quite annoying if you ask me. It's December 19th.... FOUR MORE DAYS. I sighed, and decided to skop taking a shower, since I took one last night after I came home from Zan's house. Lately me and her haven't been spending much time together for some reason. And whenver we are together things seem awkward. I must talk to the child about that. I cannot imagine losing her. She is my absolute best friend, basically my sister. School is getting harder day by day, it's a constant struggle, but I'll be okay. They always say freshman year is the hardest. I went back up to my room and washed my face, and smiled when I saw my phone light up. I read the text from Vinny to myself:

Good morning my dear Gabrielle. Me and Al shall be over to escort you and your lovely sister to school in about an hour. So be ready, or it is another bus ride for you :D

I laughed to myself, he is such a weirdo. Lately me and Vinny have been getting closer and closer, it's almost as if we never fought in the first place. Key word... Almost. There are still a few kinks in the friendship we're trying to work out, but we're getting there. I am very optimistic about our future together.  And maybe, just maybe, we might turn out to be more than friends. Note, I said maybe. I'm still really unsure about it, because of our past. It's funny, I swore to myself I'd never talk to him again, but he just has this charm that reels me in. I could never truly hate him, no matter how many times I told myself I did. He was my best friend, my first love, and you know what they say, you never truly get over your first love. Well, anyways, today me and Krissy were wearing ugly Christmas sweaters to school, because that's just the way we roll. This year, mine wasn't really ugly, but it was a Christmas sweater! I paired it with black leggings, and my brown UGG boots, and I tied my hair into a messy bun. I must say, I rock this whole look cute without trying look. I put on my white pea coat, grabbed my bookbag and my phone, and headed downstairs just in time to see Vinny entering the house. "VINCENZO." I grabbed him into a hug, making him laugh. "Well hola." He said, making me laugh. "VINNYYY!" Krissy joined the hug, and we all fell on to the ground. I held my stomach from laughter, and tried to stand up, with Vinny's help. "Shall we?" Vinny asked. "WE SHALL. I CALL SHOTGUN." Krissy ran outside, making me laugh. I kissed my mom goodbye, and went outside with Vinny. Al put on the Christmas music, and we sang along the whole ride to school. I couldn't help but laugh, today might just be a great day...
