(Gabrielle's POV)

I walked out of Science and made my way to my next class, which sadly was Reading. It used to be one of my favorite subjects, all we did was sit and read and then write a report on the book we read. But now, we actually learn things. Ewh. I walked into the classroom, and smiled politely at the teacher, who I despised. I sat at my desk, which just so happens to be right next to the most popular boy in school, Marko. You would think he'd be your typical jock, good looking, athletic, oblivious to everything except for his sport and his popular girlfriend. But, no. He's actually really nice, and he's funny, and super smart. Since we sit next to each other, we always end up being paired up together, and instead of me doing all the work, which is usually what happens, we split it. To be honest, it'd be a lot easier if he just ignored my existence. Ever since the first day of school, I felt something for him. Nothing compared to what I felt for Vinny, but it was something alright. Speaking of the devil, in he walked, with that perfection that came at ease for him. He was honestly so perfect, it was as if somebody took him straight out of a movie. "Hey Gab." He smiled at me, and then made himself comfortable. "Hey." I mumbled, trying not to stare. See, usually he and I have very in depth conversations, but today I'm just not feeling very social. The whole Vinny thing is really bugging me. "What's up buttercup?" He laughed, nudging me with his elbow. I rolled my eyes, and just replied with a quiet "Nothing." "Hey..." He turned me towards him, and looked into my eyes. "Who are you and what have you done with my bubbly Gab?" I sighed, and unfolded my arms from in front of my chest. "I'm sorry Marko, it's just I'm sort of in a pickle..." I admitted. "Well, I'm great at getting people out of pickles. How can I help?" He asked. I couldn't help but smile, he is so generally concerned about me, like a big brother. "You can make the things I'm feeling for Vinny go away..." I mumbled. "Ohhh, so this is about Mr. Castronovo.... Why am I not surprised? I heard from Krissy lately you guy have been canoodling it up." Marko said, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively at me. I totally forgot, Marko and Krissy are close because of her doing cheerleading and him being a football player. I couldn't help but break into laughter. "Canoodling? Really Marko?" "Would you rather me say "He has been seducting you over the phone"? Cause I will...." Marko winked, making me blush. "Okay, canoodling it is. But seriously, I think I'm starting to like him again..." I admitted, my shoulders slumping in defeat. "Hey, chin up sunshine. You're not defeated yet. Maybe you should give him a try? You never know what could come out of it." Marko smiled, lifting my head up by my chin. For that split second, I met his blue eyes with my own, and got lost. I quickly pulled away so it wouldn't get awkward. "Yeah, maybe you're right." "But, hey, if he hurts you, don't worry, I'll take care of him..." Marko winked, and cracked his knuckles. I laughed, and faced the teacher. Well, that could've gotten very awkward, very fast....
