Jennie
"Hey, where did my donut go?". The blonde questions, looking around the table with pure confusion.
Rosè, my best friend, is the typical type of girl, who was beautiful and pure to a fault. We met back in Middle School - and ever since then, we stick to each other like glue. She gets clingy and cries over simple stuff. Like kid's movies, who the heck would cry over Finding Nemo?
Okay maybe her, but not certainly me.
I blinked in nostalgia, "Where does food normally go?". I rolled my eyes and asked, she frowned, and then the realization hit her. "You didn't eat my donut, didn't you?".
"You were too busy daydreaming about it, so I was like, why waste food when you can eat it?".
"But food is art, if you don't mesmerize every inch of it, then you're being ungrateful!". She interfered with her face muscles reflecting the big frown on her face.
"Be Quiet!". The librarian glared at us, which made me laugh.
At the far left, I could sense someone staring at me. I lifted my gaze into the unknown direction and was met by cold eyes. A woman was sitting with such a calm depriving vibe, which left me curious. But, something was very odd about her, her bangs were resting on her forehead, her jaw was clenched, but the rest of her face seemed so relaxed.
I looked away and managed to distract myself from staring at her. The mysterious woman moved out of my sight, only to stand by the bookshelves next to us. "Mister Wilson said that the project is next week, but do you think that his choice of making your partner Eric useful?".
"I honestly don't mind". I answered with a smile and looked down at the book in front of me.
Chaeyoung rolled her eyes at me, and raised her hands up in surrender, "Of course you wouldn't mind, he's your crush for heaven's sake".
My face became red, cheeks heating up. I noticed the discomfort in Rosè's eyes, "You will never learn Jennie".
"Life is all about experiences". I admitted and grinned to myself.
"But the experience of dating a bipolar jerk like him, can give you a heartbreak that can last for a lifetime. And that is if I'm actually managing to think without losing brain cells". My best friend rubbed her temples in a frustrated manner, I softly chuckled.
"You don't know him though".
"I'm not going to judge a book by its cover, but everyone has seen his true colors. Except you, you're somehow blind when it comes to him".
"Something is wrong with your eyesight, you need to check with the doctor". I bit my lip from smiling.
Unconsciously, I looked up once again, seeing the mysterious woman now, run her fingers across the individual books. She was studying them close, but the fierce look on her face, made her face shine with so many secrets- quite the mysterious side of her that was noticeable.
She looked very calm.
"Earth to Jennie!". Rosè snapped her fingers in my face, which startled me.
"Sorry, I drifted away".
"Drifted away or..". She looked back in the direction I was looking, "Drifted into heaven may I say?". Chaeyoung had this look which made my eyes widen. She wiggled her eyebrows at me.
"Nope, I'm way into Eric".
"You like dolls, I haven't noticed that before". My best friend teased, "I thought Real-life barbies need plastic surgeries. Never knew someone would look this pretty without one".
"Barbie is shaking in a corner".
I giggled and as soon as my eyes met her scowling ones. My breath hitched - she was looking back at me, with so much intensity. Her eyebrows furrowed together, two black gloves engraved her hands. She turned around just as fast, and in a snap, she was gone. And with no doubt, she's so beautiful.
Who is she?
