Lisa
The curious stares I got as I walked through the crowded hallway - never phased me. People like to lecture me by their eyes, but my mouth was a violent weapon that they will never get over. I smiled to myself and entered the principal's office.
To my luck, there was no one.
I tapped the inner earphone that wasn't that noticeable. "Jisoo". I monotoned. The line was silent, making me sigh heavily and rub my temples. "Jisoo, you're eating chicken again aren't you?".
I heard her choke through my AirPods, and trust me. She's loud.
"You can't blame me, I'm hungry".
I rolled my eyes and anxiously sat on the principal's chair. As soon as I typed in the code my best friend gave me, information about the students in Jennie's school, flashed right in front of my eyes, making me grin to myself.
"Bingo".
"What did you find?". Jisoo asked.
"Clearly everything we need about them". I admitted, and plugged in my flash drive, saving everything I need inside the USB drive. "Send me a review of the info".
I nodded to myself and took screenshots of all that I can find.
"Holy Chicken wings, this is it".
"Can you believe that the two of them, have a connection with the businessman?". Jisoo asked, and no. I wasn't shocked, I knew this way too well. This is how their games work.
"Very predictable". I muttered.
"Where is Jennie?".
My face went pale as soon as she asked. "I bet your face screams; priceless right now. Now go ahead and look for that girl, before we get into some trouble. Actually no, don't look for her. I already know where she is". I mentally facepalmed myself.
My best friend paused for a moment and then spoke, "She's somewhere near the football practice". Eric. No.
I got up, and walked out of the principal's office. My footsteps were loud in the hallway, and I could care less. Students were staring at me from every direction. My eyes focused on the way I'm supposed to go.
As soon as I reached the Football field, my jaw clenched. Jennie was trapped in the middle of the guys who were taunting her with words.
"They call you a slut for a reason here". Eric smirked, "I can't believe that you would think that I'm that interested to actually run and chase after you". He stepped closer, Jennie took a step back, her eyes so big and full of fear. "I asked you out to humiliate you".
"And you dare to reject me?". He looked her up and down, making me finally step into the scene.
Jennie's watery gaze made me somehow soften for a moment. This isn't me. Why am I letting this affect me?
"Rejection is a part of growing up". I started, the fakest smile tracing my lips as I spoke. "If you have never been rejected, then consider yourself a child, who's still whining about something that he couldn't have".
"Ah, I see". Eric looked at the guys next to him and then met my gaze, "You brought her with you, Jennie?".
I shrugged my head. This guy is a child, I swear to god.
"I think it's me bringing her here, to face such a toxic douchebag like you". My words were violently beating through his skull - making his eyes blink at the raw look I was giving.
"So what now?". He ignored my gaze and looked at Jennie, who was staring at the ground, refusing to show him her tears. "You pick her over me?". He crossed his arms.
"Yeah? Well too bad". I grinned and intertwined my hand with Jennie's. And pulled her out of the little crowd, but Eric didn't just let go. He placed his hand on my shoulder, making me tense. "You don't just walk—".
As my body tensed, it immediately reacted to his touch. Making him groan and fall down in pain as I pushed his hand out of the way to kick him right in his core.
"You bastard!". Eric whined in pain, but I rolled my eyes and kneeled down to face his curious gaze, pulling him up by his head just so I can speak and make my words clear. "If you dare, and touch her once again. Consider yourself dead, and your balls gone". His eyes widened.
My smile vanished like a psychopath, as my hand found Jennie's once again. Pulling her out of the crowd, and out of the school just like that. I wrote a little message earlier and placed it in the principal's assistant office, telling her that Jennie can't come to school for some reason.
"Why d-did you bring me here?". Jennie whispered, her voice low making me stop right in my tracks, me not realizing that we were now far from her school. And safely in the middle of nowhere.
"You need to stop being so scared of him". I admitted and focused on mesmerizing her features.
"What makes you think that's fear?". Jennie avoided looking in my eyes.
"Not looking in my eyes when you speak". I stepped closer, my own heart flipping at the closure this time. "That's a sign of fear when I mention him". I sighed heavily.
"It's not that, I just..".
I blinked and waited for an answer, "When you're into someone, you just can't find the right way to show them that you like them without making it seem to them that it's fear".
I furrowed my eyes together, a pang of feels being planted in the middle of my heart making all of the sympathies go away just like that. Wait, sympathy?
"So you still like him?". My cold voice blinded me from listening to my insides. Jennie didn't answer, and that was enough to shut down my thoughts.
"You need to stop this fear". I pointed at her heart, and even though our faces were that close - to make our breaths mingling together, I ignored the radiation of feels that consumed me. "And more importantly, stop being such a crybaby in front of him".
