it's been a week now since the two officially started avoiding each other, well Flaca was avoiding her, Maritza simply lowered her head to hide the tears she could never control, this made Flaca feel so bad, she felt like it was her fault but at the same time she knew she couldn't control what she feels
work shifts became boring not just for Flaca and Maritza but for the others too
"man I'm gonna miss Gloria peeing herself for laughing too much"
Daya says breaking the awkward silence there was in the kitchen, Gloria gives her a death glare
"what? I miss their funny asses a'aight?"
Daya says huffing, Flaca takes a deep breath in and lets it out slowly while Maritza kept her head hanging low and her eyes glued to pan she was stirring
"OH MY GOD MAR CAREFUL"
Gloria screamed as she saw the glass bottle falling from the top shelf targeting Maritza, Flaca immediately pulls Maritza towards her, right after the glass shatters on the floor both of them stare at the glass on the floor while the rest stared at them
"awh she's still looking out for your ass"
Daya says finding them adorable
"thanks"
Maritza says quietly
"welcome"
Flaca replies flatly and turns back to her original space, away from Maritza
after a few minutes of working in silence, they hear a quiet voice coming from the front of the kitchen
"uhm sorry is Flaca here?"
"back here Brook"
Flaca says smiling
"are you down for a walk? after your shift?"
the girl asks shyly
"sure, meet you where?"
Flaca asks
"oh I'll pass by your cube at like...2 o'clock"
Soso says happily, Flaca agrees with a slight nod
"see you then Pocahontas"
Flaca says chuckling
"fuck you"
Brook says in a playful tone while narrowing her eyes
that's where it all started. Next thing you know Flaca and Brook are a thing, Flaca had opened up to the way she felt about Maritza and Brook told her it was better to move on than to stay stuck on her, so our Disney princess volunteered to help Flaca get over the small girl

"you are aware that I'll still have feelings for her while being with you right?"
Flaca says
"yes, it doesn't have to be serious"
Brook says looking up to the sky, they were laying on the backs after their daily walk
"fine"
Flaca agrees not making eye contact
"for real?"
The half Japanese girl says immediately getting up from her position and turning to her side
"I mean, if you're aware that it wouldn't be anything serious. Maybe it'll help me to get over her"
